The way his first meal was described was like it was a pretty large amount of food. Sure it couldn't help millions, but he could have used some of it to like he did the cookies. Have the guards collect batches of kids and give each of them a cookie? Some kind of cracker? That will easily net him at least 1 or point per person. Actually it would probably be even more because kids are young and impressible. So lets say five points to be fair. Since he could praise the kids and say they are the feature of the planet and he looks forwards to them blah blah blah. All you need to do is find what 40,000 kids for the plan to work? Or hell double it. But then we wouldn't be taking into account the parents of the kids and other people who would hear about what happened. Wouldn't they also give some hope points? Even it's it's only a handful? ----TLDR I think the MC is being retarded and this is all useless drama. Then again it's a translated Chinese story so it al makes sense. They always drag out stuff even if the MC is smart.
