I present to you, Menhrolith. (I'm typing this on my phone because webnovel doesn't let me view the advance chapters of my own novel on the laptop, so I won't make this too long). For full transparency to those who hate AI, it was used for the creation of this image, though I would like to emphasize that the method was notably diferent from what you might usually expect. Both personal friend and artist, Libetom, created this. First creating the entire scene rendered as a 3D blender model and then applied AI generation to it after to create the patterns and textures you now see. For more info about the process or even seeing the render back when it was exclusively blender, you can find that info in the discord. In general though, a pot of work was put into this and I hope you enjoy. It's the first art I commissioned for this novel but it won’t be the last. You can expect character portraits eventually as well!
Nope, the healers haven't fixed any more than previously. Both eyes were heavily damaged with one recovering notably more than the other. I'll need to go back and make sure the side was consistent though. I thought it was, but I'll give it another look, just in case

Yup, that was 100% inspiration for the leshy king design.
Dahlia recognised it instantly. This was a leshy, or more specifically, a leshy king. Leshies are nature spirits that inhabit plantlife and are typically cute, adorable, and oftentimes harmless, even if the little guys desired otherwise. Leshy kings were a different breed. They were nature spirits of entire ecosystems and unlike their adorable cousins, these guys were certainly capable of causing harm. In fact, judging by the current situation, it seemed quite keen on it.

For visual representation I've always kinda imagined this somewhere between Link's first transformation scene in twilight princess and Vicar Amelia from bloodborn tbh
Without even realising she was doing it, the vampiress let out a terrific scream that tore at her throat and rang through the ruin's hallways. A wave of bloody and bone chilling mana filled the complex as well, and yet it didn't stop and instead grew more and more. What was happening now was almost akin to an uncontrolled domain, and the results had every surface coated in frost and every single crack seeming to start to leak blood as though the very earth was bleeding.
