Instead of directly transferring modern technology, I could slowly introduce it, allowing for gradual development and the accumulation of additional knowledge during the process. Even if there are failures, the lessons learned might contribute to the development of other technologies in the future. That’s why I envision Osman as a guide in technological progress rather than someone who simply hands over solutions. If Osman were to transfer all his knowledge directly, it would result in only temporary advancements in Ottoman technology. But what happens after Osman? The key is to embed that culture and mindset across society. Inventors should hold a high level of prestige and enjoy a comfortable life to encourage innovation. For instance, in our society, doctors are respected and financially stable, which motivates many parents to encourage their children to become doctors. "Be a doctor, my son" or "my daughter" is a common saying. I want a similar dynamic to exist for inventors. By allowing technology to be developed gradually and teaching the underlying principles, we can ensure that even setbacks serve as stepping stones for future advancements. This way, the culture of innovation becomes a lasting part of society, rather than a temporary leap forward.

Considering the conditions of the period, it’s still too early for a diplomatic alliance with Sweden. Alliances require shared interests, and while containing powers like Russia, Poland, and the Habsburgs might appear as an alliance, it’s insufficient. Such an arrangement would be more like cooperation rather than a true alliance. For a balanced alliance, there need to be shared economic or trade interests, or similar common goals. I understand that an alliance with Sweden would benefit the Ottoman Empire, but to keep the story more realistic, I haven’t created the necessary conditions for such an alliance—at least not yet. Perhaps it could happen in later chapters.
To make the story more realistic, I’m planning not to introduce overly advanced technology right away. Since the Ottoman scientific world was somewhat behind, especially in the military field, I first had them catch up with flintlock muskets. As of now, they’re actually ahead of their time in firearm technology on a global scale. Current efforts, like education reform, are meant to lay the groundwork for technological advancement. I’m not planning to introduce sudden technological leaps. However, in later chapters, I do plan for them to become global leaders in technology.
It’s the fault of the translation app. I usually check everything carefully, but lately, I haven’t been able to focus much while writing. In fact, I’ve even been using AI a bit to help extend the text—apologies for that. Once I get through this surgery process, I plan to get back to writing as I used to. I might even send a few extra chapters.
