if this is the stance he is taking then he is basically going to have to either be dating old women, be single for life or get with Solus. He won't get with someone his own age because he chooses to identify as 40 Yr old geezer and that makes him a p3do if he gets a woman closer to his chosen mental age then that means getting with a woman around 25-30. Aside from Solus and us readers, everyone will view it as an adult woman dating a 12 Yr old child making her the p3do if he waits until he is 20 physically, then he is 50 mentally, he can't get with someone in their 20s since he is (as stated right there in the novel) "old enough to be her father" so he will have to get with someone closer in mental age ie 45-50yrs old. sensitive topic and unless Solus can gain a humanoid form, people will fault him regardless of his choice.
