Isekai characters are just too similar to me in general, especially when they are part of the “overpowered” or “destined to be overpowered” variant. Would you consider that to be the far side of bias? Likely, yes. Regardless, for the third question, I’d say you did quite a good job with Rimuru’s current character. Although it might be suitable to add more feminine aspects to her as time goes on or during this date between her and Adam if you’re planning on extending it to the next chapter. After all, there is still a distinctive gap between the thought processes of a female and a male, no matter how much their interests align. Ultimately, there is no point in being canon-compliant when it comes to the characteristics of Rimuru for this story, in my opinion. It’s far better to be dynamic.

Well, the author and the character's desire should of course be different from each other. The essential factor is for the narrative to push towards that genuine side.

I mean, it's already OOC when you decided to write Rimuru to originally be female. Because of this, there is very little to derive from Base Rimuru's personality. I’ve seen many fics that make minimal changes to naturally genderbent characters, which ruins the excitement, so it’s better to just go along with your current formula for this Rimuru. However, it would be nice if you could present something beyond the typical otaku shy girl archetype in the future for her, author-san.

Oh, that might be an interesting detail to keep in mind when Adam is back in Honkai, author-san. After all, I do love some drama to spice things up in the least expected moments, and with Mei's instability, it would be like a volcano waiting to erupt.

Alas, there still needs to be something genuine among them, or it will just turn into another pokemon-catching harem story like many fics out there.
