He kept his hands in his pockets as he walked down the stairs, about halfway down them his footsteps began to stop making noise as the nanites remade his shoes, the same color, and style, but now they had head temp control, dampening soles, and supported his feet better.

i think its a generic concept about ancients since they are echoes of cain so they to are ancients.
