Man i found this novel yesterday and i must say it's an interesting read so far, keep up the good work .A suggestion i would give is to include dates or years because i think it is hard to follow. The period is 1896 if i am right , anyways its a unique read that's for sure

For defence you have left the shipbuilding industry till now so that can be written, the entire commercial shipbuilding capacity of US and most of Europe would shift gradually to asia(japan, korea) in next 20-30years so with you getting benefits from Egypt ,your shipbuilding industry can takeoff The other things that are left are probably semiconductor, electronics industry and space industry,This is entirely up for you to setup from the ground up, and its better not to hand everything to industrialists otherwise you might have chaebol like situations

Man try to have some fun ,it looks like you are rushing for industrial revolution relax with the trains, you are a emperor build some castles or something and live with a little extravagance, send some guys to Australia or Africa or maybe try to focus on north or even northeast , maybe build iconic monuments ,nobody is gonna attack you with the strength you have built up, relax .

Ok idk if you have written the next few chapters but the US was really really kinda neutral or i might say pro arab when it came to suez canal ,they really wanted peace in anglo,arab-israeli relations by turning all of them against soviets because they perceived ussr as bigger threat ,this method worked in easing franco-german relations but it was completely opposite here, arab and isralies wanted to fight, nasser wanted to expel uk and france at any costs ,peace was not an option ,which lead him towards siding with USSR as US wouldn't provide them weapons on basis they would use it against Israel .Thats the small gist hope it helps

Rather than directly giving them a battalion of soldiers why not disguise them as private security forces like wagner or blackwater ,also put forward some of your conditions ,(soviet weaponry ) till now it seems like only you are providing support for free. p.s -there is this Engineer called paul werner krapke ,he observed production of leopard 1 and was program manager of leopard 2 and mbt 70 , although he is not exactly a designer he managed tank programs and should have connections with various engineers in both east and west Germany ,this could be helpful in your tank program as he is in east germany now and later moved to west Germany in 1963 when he got a job to oversee mass production of leopard 1.

most things can be reversed engineered during this period but aircrafts, radar, computers are different, the main thing is turbojet engine which was in use till 1970s when turbofan took over, these require high levels of precision engineering, cnc and material science and also you can't just copy other countries designs(especially European or us designs) Best route would be trying to get weapons from countries ,mastering critical components and implementing own design before the industry matures and most of the aircraft can be indigenous
