Just gonna say two things. First I actually like this story. Second There is a place where I was actually offended by a misconception in the character's thinking that should be addressed about spice. There are some who are allergic to certain chemicals in the spice world like the chemical capsaicin which is the chemical that gives certain spices their heat factor. Just thought this should be brought to the author's attention.

Sadly I can relate to what the MC is feeling about what happened. When it happened to me my world shattered. I still have trouble with trust because of it and in all honesty it still hurts but I know I have to get over it.

The term for the bow created by Abel is actually a compound bow. The composit bow did not have a pully system attatched to it as it was usually made out of bone and yew wood together giving it a bit more power even as it was smaller. An example of a clasic composit bow would be the bows that the Mongols used on the steepes plains in Mongolia.
Her story made me cry. It is actually quite hard for someone who has a bad past to cry as they are somewhat hardened emotionally.
