you're also forgetting that batman is a hypocrite that doesn't care about the league's opinion the robins are an outlier and should not be counted batman lets robin exist and the league can't stop it shazam would be a better example where the entire league was angry about a 10 year old working for them and he has the power of literal deity's they even ended up kicking him and batman out of the league for it, there ain't no way in hell the league would look at those kids ranging anywhere from 6 to 14 that are victims of torture and experimentation and think ya know what let's use them as soldiers to take Cadmus down. batman might because he's a psychopath and he would try bringing it up to the league but almost everyone would be against it especially people like flash and superman
Feels super out of character for the league. Most of those kids are still prepubescent with the eldest only 14 there isn't a universal where they would be ok with them going on any sort of mission
story is very well written which is usual for this author I've read both the grind and Gotham's dead end, and this story is just as well written and entertaining as their previous works
I didn't find the poker scene particularly cringe. It's rather unique and quite refreshing honestly
