I think the details you put in right now are perfectly fine. It makes the story feel more alive. If there is one thing, then I would suggest to shorten the description of fights against monsters or opponents that do not have a big impact or return in the story. If it’s a recurring antagonist of importance then it’s okay but for simple Gate hunting chapters it draws them out too long. Instead, you could redirect that space to elaborate on other characters, thoughts of the MC, descriptions of surroundings and what is happening around it. This makes the chapters much more engaging and interesting. For example, focus on the human experiments in this dungeon and maybe add some failed experiments he has to mercy kill to put them out of their misery. Maybe he can save some of them. You can also include like things he does afterward to try to deal with the psychological stress like visiting the few saved human experiments in the hospital. This can add to his future character development. Otherwise, it’s great. The MC seems rather normal and humane in this story compared to other novels of this kind where the author tries to make them unnecessarily special or unique but ends up making it annoying and cringe.
