efficient. I like how you think!
Elena suppressed a laugh as she watched a knight walk straight through a hidden entrance without seeing it. "No need. The Lord's barrier is working perfectly. They could search for days and find nothing but empty alleys and solid walls."

"I've heard enough," Lance cut him off with a dismissive wave, his eyes cold. "These cults need to be eliminated. Swiftly."

Love how this actually reflects the way the real Dionysus cult started. It was a secret cult that was despised, but then politicians found use for a god of wine- and thus, through social engineering, the god of wine, theater, madness (and possibly rebirth?) found space in the halls of Olympus.
"A patron deity of the night's pleasures then?" one knight remarked sarcastically. "How fitting for these degenerates."

I always believed that the "mysterious books" that talk about Paradox Pokemon come from them. They don't die. The explosion sends Turo to the future and Sada to the past. In the past, there's the disco turtle who helps Sada send her book to the present, and in the future, civilization has a way to send things to the past. But that's just a theory, a gay theory!
As he stared at Dr. Sada, a thought crossed his mind. Was the tragic ending of the professors in the game—the one where they died during their research—a result of tampering with time?

Paradoxical Existence. If somebody goes in time to kill you as a baby, go back in time to kill them before they kill you as a baby. It becomes a race against time (Hehehehe)
"For example," she added, "imagine if someone from the future went back in time and prevented their grandparents from meeting. That person would cease to exist because their very existence depended on that relationship."

Time is subjective. If you believe time is a line, then for you, time is a line. I see time more as a conglomerate of happenings- Sure, it can be a line and be measured, but it is more than that. Time for me is a paradox, weirdly enough. Extremely fragile and extremely sturdy. It has been born and never existed. It has a beginning and an end while also being unlimited. Time is a weird soup.
She leaned forward slightly, her tone becoming more serious. "Time is a linear progression. Every action you take has a cause and effect. If you change something in the past, it will alter history, and everything in the future will shift accordingly. You'd never return to the timeline you're familiar with."
