The reason is that not to many people are aware of your books which is a controlable factor. The uncontrollable factor is that not many people enjoy reading. I myself read all the big authors such as Dovestileski ,Berton Russell,Leo Tolstoy afterwards the regular hero stories became unappealing to me as they didn't mirror reality in any way that was sensible.
