That's true, but at the same time, deep down, he wished that there could have been another way to survive the war without killing his opponents. And to be fair, some of them are quite likeable in my opinion ๐๐
Inside though, Hadrian agrees, but he still felt responsible for the ones that was his fault, such as the deaths of the others who faced him in the war.
