Not much to say, since others have taken the words out of my mouth. But this indeed an interesting read... Somewhat unique so far.
Emotionally shocking moments, intricate and otherworldly fight scenes, and lots of loyalty, honour and tradition. This is an epic, unique and often unforgiving fantasy narrative intertwined with glimpses of hope and goodness. The haunting nature of the world is also mixed with betrayals and a huge death toll. Recommended.
This book has such a unique storyline and is one of the greatest slow burn romances that I’ve ever read. Reading it was such a different experience from other romance books that follow a predictable plot line, where you’re not really surprised by events that happen and can already see where its going and what the characters are going to do. I gladly just went along for the ride with this book and these amazing characters. It’s a must read!
