Claire tried to react to his words, she attempted to smile but failed in doing so. She wasn't in the mood to give him a fake smile, to fake her contentment. Garrett took in another breath. "I-I have to go. I have to go, Claire. They need me there. But I think it'll be everything like it was thus far, it'll be nothing serious. Remember when dad, too, was a soldier? He spent less than a year in the army and then came back.". "Y-yeah, but this is different, Garrett...". A very brief pause followed Claire's words. "Didn't you hear about another war brewing up? It was all in the papers, Garrett.". Gently, Garrett shook his head in disapproval. "They are just rumours, Claire. You cannot believe something like that. What more, you cannot trust those kinds of people. The kind who earn money from scaring others.". Claire was about to say something, she was about to retort, but she choked up on her own words. In the end, she said nothing. "You don't have to worry about me. I'll be back, Claire.". A pause. "Just like father... I'll be back before you know it.".

It all began one late Winter but ended only months later when Summer came around. When Briella's boyfriend left for University, he left her with words that rang in her head. But it was weeks later that his words lost their true meaning. All it took was one phone call for it all to break into pieces... He broke up with her. Losing her faith in love, Briella doesn't want to fall head over heels again. She managed to live by her words for a few weeks. But one day, whilst in a hurry to class, Briella crashed into someone in the hallway... It was a guy. He was tall, handsome, blonde... "May I ask, what's such a beautiful lady like yourself doing all alone on Valentines Day?" A deep voice caught Briella's attention. Turning around, she saw a tall, handsome guy facing her. A small smile stretched across his lips. "I don't really have a Valentine this year... In fact, I don't even know why I agreed to come here, but hey, here I am..." Briella replied. She was just about to thank him for his compliment when suddenly his voice was heard once again. "Wait, like no Valentine... at all?". Briella shook her head as a reply. "Nope.". "Well..." he began. "Perhaps... I can change that. What do you say?". "What are you implying by that?". "Well...". He bowed down right before her. "Would you like to dance with me?... I'd like to be your Valentine this year.". That Valentines night was when Briella met her boyfriend, Dylan, and instantly fell in love with him.

Frank clenched his teeth and gripped his fists, as he sat up, placing his both fists on the table. He closed his eyes as he tilted his head towards the ceiling lights, taking in one deep breath before opening his mouth and beginning to speak. "it's all began...".

I decided to move away and try to find an exit but I didn't even take a step back when I heard his voice. "Princess? Is that you?" I saw him raise his head before shooting his eyes onto me. Because this might be the last time you will ever talk, " he said this sentence in such a calm tone, it caused me once again to shiver with goosebumps. "W-what do you mean...". Never in my life have I stuttered, until then. "What I mean is..." he began before abruptly stopping, until then, he never took his eyes off me. The next thing I knew, he full-on charged towards me. I heard chairs crashing down while I turned around, and just as I was about to run, I felt him grab me by my wrist, before he yanked me, as a result, I crashed straight into his chest. My hands were on his big, broad chest right before he turned me around so that my shoulder were now against his pecks. Till then, I figured that this was probably just one of my many wicked nightmare until I felt the blade ,from that knife he picked up, rest on my neck. As if it was an instinct, I grabbed his arm that was resting on my chest with my two small hands. In the same time tried to push my head back and away from the knife but it is near impossible as there is no space for me to move any further against his hard pecks. Next, I hitched for air when I felt his breath, as it warmed my skin. "Trust me... don't you dare, for second, think that I will hesitate to hurt you, because I will if you disobey me..."

I also read that letter... you have a really beautiful way with words..." I say. "But how do you know I don't like being woken up?... Actually, I don't think anybody likes being woken up, so scrap that question..." I giggle, but then I shake my head. I am taking too long. "Sorry, this message must be very long by now, so I am going to finish now... I just... I really want to see you in person again..." I then once again pause as I look down at my legs that rub my carpet. "Anyways... that is all I have to say... see you- I mean, probably not really, but I am hoping I'll get to see you, you know...". A sigh escapes my lips. "Bye..." I say before distancing my phone from my ear and press the red button.

BOOK ONE from the 'O'Neill Series'. Arriving at the airport, Ana feels the intense euphoria take over her body. While waiting in line to drop off her baggage, her eyes accidentally fall upon someone who will literally change her life. For the better. *EXTRACT FROM THE BOOK* "You know..." he begins. "Words can't even describe the feeling I get when I see you smile.". His words leave an effect on me, as they always do... "You know, you are going to have to try harder if you expect me to fall for you..." I reply. "Well, haven't you already fallen for me? You have your head on my shoulder and your hand around mine. I know I ain't no doctor Cupid, but to me, that signals something.". I chuckle at his words. "Also, who said I was trying to make you fall for me?" he asks, raising his eyebrow. I sarcastically widen my eyes. "Oh, so you are not trying to make me fall for you?". "I didn't say that..." he replies. "Oh, so you are...". "Just go to sleep..." he says through his smile. I gladly accept his request and lay back down onto his shoulder.

You look pale... do you want some water?" "No... I... I need to sit... I..." Emma begins to speak, but she just cannot speak the words out. "This has to be a dream... I... I don't know what else it could be, but it feels so real...I... I remember this...." Emma tells herself. Emma and the little girl goes to the couch and sit down, "w... who are you?... may I ask?" asks Emma. "I... am Samantha... your best friend...I will assume that you were only joking there about asking me about my name... are you?" says Samantha, worried. "Yeah... I... I was... haha, got you..." Emma says, forcing a smile, "how can this be happening!? My father.... he is here!? I feel like I went back in time... but that is impossible... right?" Emma talks in her head to herself, "what date is it today Sam?" Emma asks Samantha. "It's.... the.... 24th of June, why?" Sam asks Emma. "Okay what year?" Emma asks Samantha again. "You kidding?..." Samantha tells Emma. "Just answer my question please..." Emma pleads Samantha. "It's 2014... and you have lost your mind..." Samantha tells Emma, slightly feeling worried. Emma opens her eyes wide, "this must be a dream, it has to be a dream, how the fuck could I then explain me going back 4 years in time...
