I might be wrong but I feel compared to their starting positions in this relationship, Lucy has made more efforts and emotional sacrifices than Tom. Emotionally, he was already a free bird soaring high in the sky whereas Lucy was not only in her shell but also broken inside. To try to match Tom’s pace is emotionally draining (they met only a few weeks/months ago). He’s not giving Lucy any breathing space and makes her feel like she’s not good enough for him.

Not too much for Lucy but for Tom for sure. He’ll have to slow down. Hank siblings are all same. They just barge into and try to completely takeover someone’s life without consideration of other person’s feelings about that speed. They don’t have patience once the other person says they like them. Harry did good to be assertive with Jade. Tom needs a tempering down as well. Lucy needs to be shown as a strong woman in this relationship, not just understanding and timid because of a past incident which was not even her fault. She needs to be assertive like Harry and Lucas.
