idrk but I was just presuming he didn't want to reveal his dao, given he showed an ability to use it with Selheira in the frost clan ruin. It should also be less taxing stamina wise in the more powerful plan 1.5 higher. Anyhow that's my guess

With that final thought, the cloaked figure no longer bothered with what was happening outside, focusing on the refinement process entirely as Ryu continuously flickered and vanished.

If they recognise him from Jeneless' reports then maybe they'd know he was found in the first heaven?? no idea but my best guess, at least :)
However, to the cloaked figure, this was actually a weight off of their shoulders. If Ryu had this Bloodline, it made sense why he was hiding away on the First Heaven. If he exposed the fact that he had such blood, it wouldn't be just them hunting him down, those monstrous Beast Clans would be the first to do so.
