Why? Is it centralised, like controlled from the basement or something? Underfloor heating is something specific to a house, and operated from inside the unit, right? Does it need electricity or do you use firewood or coal in a fireplace or something? Our hometown doesn't go beyond 12°C or 10°C at it's coldest. We don't have fireplaces or underfloor heating systems. I'm just curious about how it works. Our ancestral house in my native village has a fireplace outside the house, and metal plates running under the brick/tile flooring , connected to the fireplace. The smoke doesn't enter the house, but the whole house is warm whenever there's firewood burning there. The fireplace acts as a substitute kitchen, when we are cooking for a large number of people, and during summers, there's a detachable element which disconnects the fireplace from the plates running under the flooring, to avoid heating the floor during the sweltering hot weather.
The underfloor heating was no longer working; this winter, there were no heating measures.

I've seen a similar equipment in a mall recently. The balls are made from very light foam type material, so you won't get hurt, but it has some sensors to know whether it has hit the human body. You must gauge the ball's trajectory and dodge it. Mind you, one needs to be very agile, and it's equivalent to a workout session, dodging them. Balls come from different directions and heights, it's sort of a 3 sides walls and one side transparent enclosure. The more times you dodge, the more points you get. There are prizes like toys, small electronic gadgets for 20 points and above. Mind you, it was very difficult to dodge them. My athletic friend scored 16 and got defeated. So far, 32 is the highest points scored, as I heard.
In TV dramas, they're portrayed as much more formidable than average soldiers, and the equipment they train with is distinctly different.

As the conversation went on, Su Chengyu began to talk about farming matters: "Imperial Sister-in-law, the farmers who planted cotton with the 'Nutrition Bowl' method you taught last year had an excellent harvest. The number of farmers planting cotton is likely to increase this year. The goal for every household to have cotton quilts to keep out the cold may be achieved within a decade rather than ten years."
