Saiph Glendoveer is a child with aspirations reaching to the stars and heavens above. Humans as Saiph knows them live in a strange contraption consisting of hundreds of worlds strewn together through wormholes. No one knows how long it has been called this, but it consists of the "Hope" of humans, the 100th world, the top of the Tower: Heaven. Everyone needs to reach the top. They must, for it is their existential purpose. However, the Tower is unprecedentedly perilous. Beasts, Monsters, and Aberrations all step in the way of every challenger of the summit. Before Saiph has to encounter such perils, however, he must first become a Mage- a human that can change their fate and possibly reach Heaven. If Saiph can't even do that, how could he possibly reach Heaven as a mortal? A young man, on the brink of total despair, accidentally kills himself and finds himself in an alternate world- a fantasy one, at that- after meeting a mysterious 'god'. This young man arouses in his fantasy world with the power of immortality- true, godly immortality, and a goal: to possess a kingdom. Before long, however, treachery and deceit overwhelm him and leave him for dead. Forsaken by the world, he must attempt to not just survive, but thrive in this foreign new terrain. Daily lesson in Latin! "Astrum" is a poetic term that can mean "star", "heaven", "glory", "constellation", or "immortality"; all of which pertain to the story one way or another. "Irae" (in this context) is the genitive singular form of "ira", which means "ire", "anger", or "wrath". The genitive form means that, in English, "of" would be added in front of the noun. So, "ira" (wrath), pertaining to "astrum"(star/immortal/heavens) is translated as "The Star of Wrath", "The Immortal of Wrath", or "The Heavens of Wrath".
