Llamakuma - Profile

I’m giving this high marks because it ends at 1696 due to being banned and it caused me to rethink about how the author is writing the story. The MC has very nationalistic, Pro-Chinese sentiments (he’s not racist per se as most people point out since he’s just bashing everyone that’s not Chinese … although he drives a BMW 😭 ). But it makes me wonder, if the author had to do it because he was trying to be a little subversive and be critical of the various governing bodies in China. The MC is all about face slapping, being subversive, etc. so I always found it a little odd that he’s stealing/plagurizing foreign stuff while being anti at the same time. Felt really hypocritical considering how well written the story was. Otherwise, the comedy is there and if you can overlook the inconsistencies and weird plot turns (I thought he would be with the landlady considering how the story was going and the girl he ends up with doesn’t really have a presence or personality). Some people won’t be able to get past some of the pro-Chinese rhetoric (I mean, he bashes Christmas!!! But I get it, I had to put the book down for some chapters or skip because it’s really nonsensical at some parts).

Must be a bot

I don’t even know where to begin … the story had so much promise, but the MC is really naive. And not only that, due to meeting another character that is even more so … there’s a shift in the story telling after chapter 50 away from the MC. I can’t tell yet if thr author is brilliant in raising blood pressure, but it feels like all girls in this novel just cry. Like seriously weeping the entire time. It’s a cultivation world but g’lord … if you are going to spend coin on this, don’t. Just use the passes because you’ll be regretting like the naive MC for spending coin on this. I’ll give it a few more chapters and revise this but I’m past the 60’s and it’s probably one I’m going to drop.
