Best Elden Ring Fic I've ever read, probably one of the best fics in general on WN. Characters are interesting and clearly have their own agendas, and there are plenty of twists and turns in the few chapters that are already out. Although the grammar is pretty bad, there are some well-thought-out twists and turns. The MC is surprisingly resourceful and there's not much focus on the female characters. All in all, it's much better than 90% of the CNs out there, if you can stomach the poor translation.

Yeah, I see how that can happen. In my mind, they are deadlier in the sense that if you put them in a crowded place, full of normal humans, they would make a much bigger mess than a Scavenging Fiend possibly could.
Compared to the Scavenging Fiends he found in his First Nightmare, the Carapace Scavengers were much deadlier - and sturdier to boot.

Nope. As was said in the next paragraph, they’re much easier to kill, despite being much sturdier. Different Nightmare Creatures have different specialties. The specialty of the Caparace Scavenger is defense. Also, there are plenty of situations in the OG where creatures of similar rank have completely disparate strengths. Things are not that straightforward in Shadow Slave, that’s one of the reasons I enjoy it so much!

I just left a comment on FFN on how this fiction should be on WN and found this here almost instantly after. This is an interesting take on OP with a system. It has some of the same tropes we've already seen multiple times, but the randomizer aspect applied to the world of One Piece gives the author a lot of liberty to tweak encounters and surprise the readers.
