I kinda liked the approach with "cringiness". I mean, everyone wants to be regonized, if it is throw appearance (Chali and her skincare products - want to look beautiful for her partner) or achievments in Alex case. Let him have his embarrasing moments where people think he is weird. After all he is in a new place with new set a rules and culture? Hothead and eager in the beginning and more cold and calculated later on, is that the approach you want?

Good chapter. Too many one man shows out were side characters get tossed out after the arc. Keep devolop side characters :) adds a nice flavor
