Bel fought not to crush the map into a ball and toss it out the windows as she read through it. It wasn't a complete waste of time, but none of the information was what she wanted. However, it did show her how huge Darkcrypt was; there were even more parts she had not explored, and the Village wasn't even a quarter of the entire kingdom.
The map was true to its description: a detailed map of Darkcrypt. But that was all. It didn't include any descriptions of the surrounding areas, which was what she was more interested in. Bel rolled it up and stood to her feet. She placed the map on the table and looked around.
She had been staring at the map for quite some time now, and there was still no sign of Davien. Not that she expected less, but it irritated her, to say the least. Her lunch would be here soon, and she wanted to head out, but she was willing to wait.
