Bab 43: Meeting Zen Lykus Once More

Red lanterns hung by the gates of the Mariyah Clan. Though this clan was plagued with misfortune recently, the years of glory it accumulated and the wealth it represented could never be denied. And now, as if a slap to those who were secretly laughing because of the misery of the Mariyah Clan, the legitimate daughter of the Mariyah Clan would be marrying off into the great empire of mages – the Lykus Empire.

And it was not a simple family in the empire of mages! Axue Mariyah was to be married to the Third Prince of the Lykus Empire!

Dragon dance and firecrackers made a glorious ensemble right outside the main gates of the Mariyah Clan. Children were being held by their parents as they waited for the arrival of the imperial carriage delegated by the Lykus Empire's royalty. Street vendors did not fail to make use of this chance to earn money by setting up their stalls around the fuss and near the main road.
