Bab 22: Come over

The Summer wind hits Maria's face she smiles and looks at David her now 8 year old son she is happy as she lights the birthday cake she hits her leg as she feels stuffy from the dress she looks at her hands and smile as she had gained a slight tan she shifts her eyes towards adrain and Zelen who are playing hide and go seek she saw when adrain found his little brother Zelen he was smiling and hugging him she is zapped back into reality by some person "mommy! I'm hungry" boy or girl said then Maria looked to see who it was coming from and saw a chubby small two year old his face looked soft and shy but his eyes looked the opposite while skin color was pale and his skin soft and fragile his left eye was blue while his right was red his hair complimented his face and eyes the most his hair color wasn't just blonde she saw that his hair was also a little bit brown she immediately woke from her daze expression "oh ya yes honey what's wrong" Maria said with a smile looking at the small figure which is Arthur "mommy I'm hungry" Arthur said with a upset voice "oh crap follow let's go feed you honey but you should only eat a little as cake will soon be coming" Maria said with a smile she pats Arthur's hair and kisses his forehead "so while your waiting why don't you play with your brother and Zelen" Maria said while smiling and crouching Arthur nods and runs towards the playing children he quickly takes off his sweater like cloak and ties it around his neck and pretends to be a superhero Maria smiles at Arthur she looks at her own hand wondering if one day she can be a superhero she then proceeded to pull out a nod of cigarettes she grabbed one and she had put it between her lips she lit it gasping minutes worth of smoke then puffing it out she hears foot prints so she turns and sees Vincent with a gift Maria wondered what it was Vincent quickly ran to the gift table and had put it down then he ran back to Maria signaling hi pointing at the cigarette "I thought you gave up smoking when David was born" Vincent said while looking at the smiling David "well before I didn't have a lot of stress" Maria said while inhaling smoke and exhaling it with a big puff "true" He said while nodding his head he saw Maria put out the cigarette she looked at the sun and ran towards David whispering something he ran towards the gifts and smiled Maria immediately gave him one of the gifts he took it from his mothers hand the people who were already there were shocked at how happy he is and how a little bratty he immediately tore it open and as he saw a wooden box he opens it and what he sees immediately makes him smile he turns it around and looks at Thomas "thank you uncle Thomas I like it" as people saw what it was they were surprised and sorta pissed at Thomas as they saw that Thomas gave him a bronze sword that had diamonds on it 3 on both sides of the blade Maria looked closely and saw the diamonds them self had enchantments she couldn't tell what type of enchantment but they were strong as soon as the parent stopped beating Thomas with there eyes he came back up "the enchantments are sword luck they basically allow you to have one clean shot even the opposite person can't escape it from cutting them all you have to do is put your mana in it" Thomas said then everyone had looked at Thomas again and had hit him after hours of opening gifts David got bored as most of them were either money or clothes he started to doubt if his parents even got him a gift until he got to the last one it wasn't in any wrap like the others it was in a box sorta like uncle thomas David had put his hands all around it and found a carving saying happy birthday david from dad to David he saw a button so he pressed it then to his surprise it started to crank and David noticed it played his favorite song that his mom and dad would sing if he ever got upset he smiled then as he saw it open he saw four books he saw there titles and noticed they were the books he wanted so he quickly shut it "thank you dad I love it" david said while looking at his dads face David then puts it down and goes to the last gift he turns to see who it was from to see if it was from his mother but to his surprise it wasn't it was from his brothers brothers dad he opened it and saw like his dads and Thomas a box but unlike his dads or uncle Thomas it was longer and a bit bigger he opened it and saw a bow with three obsidians on both side of the bow he also saw 3 enchanted arrows with a name tag saying fire ice And water David smiled "thank you" David said but as he puts it away everyone saw how sad David was they all knew why "so Maria what ever happened to your gift for him"someone said then Maria felt bad "ya you forgot to get our son your gift" Vincent said now Maria felt worse she saw that David was about to cry so she immediately moved her hand to her pocket and took two box's out one small and another medium "i was going to wait after the part but here darling don't cry" maria said while handing the box's to David "it's nothing big or too expensive like your dads or uncle in fact the reason I didn't put it there is because I was sorta embarrassed and plus I didn't want it to break"Maria said with a worried and scared smile david immediately opened both box's in the small box it had two rings he saw one that was for boys and another for girls he smiled immediately and almost cried tears of joy then he immediately went to the slightly bigger box and opened it he saw a nick lace it had a diamond and other gems attached he smiled even more and cried "you hate it don't you" Maria said with a tear "no mama I love it it's just when I grow up to be a big boy it won't fit me anymore " David said with a smile then Maria looked happy and wiped a tear "well good thing they have enchantments the ring actually has two but the necklace has one" Maria said with a smile "really what are they" "well there not destructive like anyone else's but they help differently you ring has a resizing enchantment were it grows has you age and also a communication enchantment ones for me while the other is for you there both bonded to us so they can only be used by you or me while the necklace it's just the resizing enchantment here try it on" Maria said as she takes it and puts the necklace around David's neck and puts the ring on David's finger "mama I love it" David said then Maria remembered it's cake time "oh crap everyone it's cake time" Maria said with a smile then she immediately goes to the food table and gets a sword shaped cake out she lights the Candle and quickly sings the birthday song David blew the candle out "so dear what was your wish" Maria said with a smile "my wish isn't a wish it's that i want to be the worlds renounced adventure like uncle Thomas and uncle Michael" David said with a smile
