I look at them. They both tap my shoulder, which scares me the most. I hate the warning glances they're giving me.

"Let's have a seat and wait for our meals to be prepared," I remarked.

We were all seated, but my mother and grandmother were sitting next to my wife and kept on asking her about her feelings as a pregnant lady.

Li Jin and Pei Qin cough. I know they're teasing me. "Don't even start," I remarked.

They both chuckled and kept their distance afterward. We started eating, and everyone was asking about Her Highness's situation.

I saw how Li Susu enjoyed the attention they were giving her. At least she doesn't feel lonely anymore.

I want to give her a warm home that she didn't have after her parents were killed in that distant future she came from.

I turn my body and look at her. I grab the plate of shrimp and give her the peeled one. My mother and grandmother saw what I did.
