Bab 92: End of Vacation

Seraphyne flopped on the bed. She has just arrived in her apartment. She covered herself in a blanket and shut her eyes. Her head's been in so much pain since she left the military compound.

'Have I caught a cold? I feel like my head's about to explode. I wish I could fall asleep as soon as possible.'

She was not aware that a faint mark on her neck was showing. There were also odd silver hairs growing in her hair.

When she fell asleep, she experienced a nightmare. 

In the dream, Seraphyne saw two versions of herself. She felt like a passerby watching as the other held a wooden knife with thin metallic symbols on its handle while the second person smiled manically.

'What kind of fantasy dream is this?'

The two of them were versions of herself that she could never imagine becoming. One had a horn in the middle of her forehead, like a demonic unicorn horn.
