Bab 42: Silver Lining

At Dustan's words, I couldn't help but frown in confusion.

"Ohhhh~ that sounds important." Licht sang.

"What were you searching for?" I asked, on a more serious tone.

"Well—"

"That's enough!" Alva bellowed, slamming his palms on the table. Our glasses rattled at the force as Alva glared at Litch. He seemed quite displeased with the whole ordeal, as if he figured something unpleasant with Dustan's words.

"What's this? Are you jealous perhaps?" Litch egged.

"I am." Alva replied seriously. As a result, the table became awkward. And I couldn't help but feel strangely... elated.

No—why am I elated? I chugged my drink.

"Ohh~! Looks like someone's affected." Litch teased. I slammed my glass on the table and glared at the man.

"A little alcohol won't affect me." I retorted.
