'How many points of stats does he have in each of his fields? From the fitness of his body, it seems perfectly balanced' Morris thought
He was also interested in learning Roan's stats and his limit
To him, Roan was the strongest person in the team. Not only could Roan fight with intermediate tier beast alone but could also remain uninjured.
He thought about his abilities but he could get any idea of such a versatile Sutra. Hearing Lucas mention about comparing stats, his curiosity grew.
Morris nodded in agreement and said "Its a good way to increase our accuracy in fights"
Lucas heard what Morris said and was relieved that he was supporting his idea.
He did not give Roan any time to reconsider and quickly said out his stats of particular fields.
"My status screen shows
Level - 7
Strength - 13
Stamina - 13
Agility - 10
Energy - 10
All my stats are similar to when I took my combat strength" Lucas stated
"I am not sure about the Level thing but I guess it is determined by average of all stats" he added
'I know that 5 stats increase per level up in my system. His total stats are 56, if I subtract his primary 20 stats which he had as a normal person before training then it will be 36'
'One level up means 5 stat points then 7 level equals 35. So the standard of measuring is 5 stats per level, ignoring the primary 20 stats' Roan quickly analyzed the level system
'When I awakened my bloodline I already had more than normal primary stats that is why my level still shows 8' he thought
'Now that I know their system is similar to my bloodline ability which means there are people who have such ability and they are related to Nates.' he thought
"My stats are overall balanced
Level 9
Strength - 15
Stamina - 15
Agility - 15
Energy - 15
They are all 15 " he lied about his stats being 15 each but stated the level correctly.
When Lucas found out Roan's stats, he was filled with shock and envy. He compared their stats and the difference between them was a total of 14 stats.
'A total of 15 stats!! He is better than me in every aspect.' Lucas murmured
He did not care about their reaction and continued his analysis.
'if the system does not count the primary stats before bloodline awakening as Leveling stats then there should be no way this system which was similar to it would.'
'Anyways, if it did count my primary stats even then I would not have told them my true stats' Roan thought
He did not know for sure but still he thought the academy would be able to check the levels that's why he said his level as 9.
So that when his level is revealed outside, he would be able to face his teammates and would not be considered a liar.
That was another matter whether his level would remain same or not by then.
Lucas and others were attentively listening to Roan, they wanted to know the exact stats of someone like him.
Even Jennie who did not want to talk about her system was intently listening to his stats in each field.
Morris had expected Roan's level to be very balanced but still 15 stats points in each field shocked him.
'If his combat strength was already this good then how did he enter this hunting space' Morris thought
'With how balanced his stats are, he could have reached Rank E if he trained either only in strength, speed or energy' he thought that Roan idolized military S rank who had trained perfectly balanced stats.
Morris did not know whether the legendary S rank of the military had equal stats points in energy but except that Strength, Stamina and Agility of that S rank were confirmed to be balanced.
Roan was not interested in learning abou other people strengths and weakness but he still looked at Morris.
He wanted to know Morris's stats too. Learning his stats could give him more clear idea of how the system judged their levels.
Morris saw the eyes of others and could sense the expectations in their eyes. He could not say no to them.
"My stats on the system screen are
Level - 5
Strength - 12
Agility - 12
Stamina - 13
Energy - 10
They are neither balanced nor high, I trained more in techniques than ability" Morris said
Lucas finally felt a little better but still he could not get over how Roan had all balanced stats. He was very competitive and could be titled as a genius in the ability users.
His story was similar to Jasper but he did not join any family. He only trained in a ability Sutra passed down in his family.
He started training when he was only ten years old. The sutra his ancestors had passed down required diligence and hard work.
Only after achieving power close to E rank could one unleash its potential.
However, it was very difficult to reach E rank with it. In the same amount of time people could get better results with the military's Reinforce Sutra.
That is why many member of his family joined other families or trained with different Sutras.
His father was a direct descendant and could not train in any other Sutra than the one passed down in family.
He was also bound with the same rules. He did not lose hope and was happy to train in an ability passed down by ancestors.
Legend has it that ancient humans could defeat the powerful beasts alone and could even massacre them.
When the times changed, some people who could not get very far with those Sutras found another method to gain strength.
They made Sutras imitating how the beasts trained and gained strength. These sutras were easy to practice and took less time.
There were some side effects such as violent temperament and need to devour beasts flesh to cultivate such sutras.
They needed the blood of beast to train in same ability but using the flesh of the beast was also feasible.
People started training in new sutras and lost their interest in the ancient ones. From then on the ancestral Sutras were less popular and did not stand out.
The masses trained in new beast sutras and slowly their bloodline changed from pure humans to one with slight beast bloodline.
Nowadays people did not need to eat flesh of beasts to begin training in these sutras. They already had some traces of beast in their bloodline and could easily cultivate like beast.
The difference in ancient sutras and the one derived from beasts stood out while breaking through to Master rank.
Humans training with ancient sutras only gained strong body , increased energy and vitality after reaching Master rank.
When Beast sutra users broke through, they would form a core similar to beast crystal which stored their energy.
There were no side effects of having a core inside the body but there was a chance of it being targeted and destroyed by others.
The destruction of core could ruin their hard work of lifetime.
Humans who trained in ancient sutras passed down from ancestors, did not form beast crystal when breaking through Master rank.
However , it was only true in ancient times. Now every person had some sort of beast bloodline and would form a beast crystal like core when they broke through Master rank.
They were all legend but Lucas still believed that an ability passed down from ancestors would be very strong.
According to the legend, ancient humans gained lifespans with their breakthrough. With each breakthrough their lifespan increased, allowing them to train more.
However beast sutras were limited to increased energy only. It did not increase users lifespan.
To increase the users lifespan with modern sutras, one would have to at least reach advance tier.
Below that level the increase in lifespan was insignificant.
Roan , Lucas and Morris had already shared their stats with others. Only the Williams siblings remained.
The two Mutant leopard were already gnawing on the flesh of their dead brethren which surprised the team.
They forgot that the beasts were beast after all. How could the team expect the beasts to avenge the dead leopard, when the beasts were happily enjoying the treat of flesh.
Jasper was done with his recuperation and stood up. He listened to their conversation and learnt about their stats in each field.
However, he did not join their conversation and neither did her little sister.
Before anyone could ask them about their stats, Jasper stared at the two Mutant leopard and said.
"I have recovered enough, let's go" Jasper suggested.
They did not know whether he said this because he didn't want to share his stats or for some other reason.
But they all listened to him and stopped talking about their system.
Lucas excitedly looked at Jasper with bright eyes and asked " Are you going to use that fireball again??"
"No, it takes a lot of energy and I cannot do it in next twelve hours" he directly rejected the idea
Morris and Roan nodded. They knew that the skill of that level might have some drawbacks and limitations.
This time they also wanted to have the beast crystals for themselves and so, they could not allow Jasper to attack the Mutant leopard.
"I want their beast crystal and I am going to engage in close combat with them" Roan stated. He wanted to make it clear that he did not want anyone to steal his kill.
Jasper did not mind his declaration and agreed " It's fine, I have not recovered enough to one hit kill them" he indirectly stated that he would not participate in the battle.
Lucas did not expect Roan to state something like that and Jasper to accept it.
He wanted to team up with Jasper again and gain another beast crystal.
However, It was over before he could even convince Jasper to team up. Jasper already said that he could not use that skill and would stay out of the fight.
Roan glanced at Morris and Lucas. He wanted to see their reactions. If any of them wanted to team up with him then he could easily kill one beast.
None of them seem to be interested in killing the two mutant leopard. He did not think much of it and rushed toward the beasts.
He didn't know that they wanted to hunt the mutant leopard but they did not take action because he declared that he wanted their beast crystals.
He did not make it clear that he only wanted one of it. Rest of the team thought that he was talking about both of leopards.
'How can he just declare that he wants both of the beast? isn't that bullying?' Lucas gloomily thought.
'Does this guy have no conscience?' Lucas murmured to himself.
Suddenly he thought about how he and Jasper took down the two beasts earlier and none of them opposed the idea.
He did not feel guilty talking about Roan's conscience but he stopped thinking that Roan was bullying them because of his superior strength.
Roan looked at the two mutant leopard. He wanted to check their stats. But then he rejected the idea.
'I already know the stats of an adult mutant leopard. It will be a waste of skill to look at their stats'
'It is enough that I know what their maximum stats can be.' he thought
He was not arrogant but he wanted to save the skill for later use. There were other beasts nearby and could rush in.
He wanted to save his two uses of inspect skill to judge an unknown beast not some beast he had already seen.
He rushed to the two beasts while using wind path. He tried not to make noise and arrived as sneaky as possible.
He traveled the distance of 90 meters within 6 seconds. He was still hiding and none of the leopard spotted him.
He was only 10 meters away from them.
