Bab 35: The Last Breath of a Human

Blood gushed from my open wounds, at least five broken ribs and a punctured lung, I wouldn't live more than a few hours at most, that is if those filthy invaders didn't kill me first.

But that didn't matter, because he was there. As large as the universe itself. Infinite dark wings, the color of ebony, covered him from the sight of mortals. His eyes were like jewels that adorned the stars.

His face was covered in the primordial fire of cosmic creation. An arm, as dark and shining as the void between galaxies, held a war hammer. The hammer he held was so large that it occupied all visible space, the greatest work of art ever made, that's what I thought when I saw such a masterpiece.

As if proof of his divinity were not enough, he struck the empty space between those wretched Xenos and him with his hammer. Now only light was visible. True light, the light that God has given to humans to give hope.

"How Beautiful" the words came out of my mouth as I choked on my own blood. My tears and blood combined spilled onto the weapon I held firmly, a gift given by the one who rises in the heavens.

"Praise be to God's divine work" I shouted, raising my weapon with the last of my strength, abandoning myself. Before my consciousness faded, I could feel a strong, firm, yet compassionate male hand holding me.

The feeling it gave me was that of a tough but gentle father, always there for you. "Thank you" was all I could think as the platinum light finally drew closer.
