Bab 117: Finding the truth - Part 2

When Aylin reached the dungeon, the night guards had taken over and they stood still, their back attire camouflaging with the darkness of the night. Other than their shiny swords and spears and faces, their bodies were covered in black, evoking a sense of foreboding just by looking at them. They stood still and straight with stern expressions as they guarded the dungeon with all their might.

Aylin alighted from her horse quickly and strode towards the entrance. When the guards realized her presence they bowed at her and Aylin nodded at them as she stared at the place, still thinking about what might have transpired for Susan to have ended up here.

Sighing lightly, she focused on the guard who was standing nearby her. "Lead me to the cell where the palace maid Susan is being held captive," Aylin ordered. However, the guard just stood still and he looked at her in apprehension. His eyes quivered as he looked at the other guards who had a similar expression as his.
