Bab 138: Wished It To Be Real

Selena's POV

I didn't see it coming, and my heart was beating more than 150 per minute as I could hear it hammering loudly against my chest after Skyler told them I was the woman behind his retirement.

Skyler didn't stop there and sent my heart into overdrive when I heard him tell those reporters in front of his fans I was his wife. I could feel my face turn hotter, knowing it had turned bright red.

None of his answers were true, and I wanted to leave him after my contract expired, but why I wished it to be real? As I raised my head and looked at his fans who were crying out his name, I suddenly felt scared when I saw some of them were looking daggers at me.

I heard some of them comment Skyler and Vivienne looked good together, and I felt a pang in my chest as I realized I would never belong in his world, and I hated Skyler for telling them I was his wife.
