Bab 29: Devil 26: Shane's Condition
Drew's Pov
Flashback...
"You want me to what?" Bulalas ko nang sabihin ni Shane ang condition nya.
Nasa child's park kami ngayon at kahit ayaw kong dito kami magmeet ay wala narin akong nagawa since sya ang dapat na masunod ngayon.
We're sitting here in a child's swing at mukhang enjoy na enjoy syang iduyan ang sarili nya.
Tch! Childish.
But what she want me to do with her is impossible.
Ngumiti siya sakin at huminto sa pagduyan saka bahagyang humarap sakin.
"I know you can do it Mr. Perfect. You're friends with his family right? Zero's brother will having a birthday party and you're going to make him invite us into his house on that day." Ulit niya sa sinabi nya.
"And why are you so eager to go to that party?" Takang tanong ko.
Bigla syang sumeryoso.
"Because someone special to me is going to that party. And I couldn't missed this chance to meet him. I've never seen him for a year and I really missed him so please, tell Zero to invite us on his brother's party. We're not going to do anything that will ruined his party. I promised." She said like as if she was begging.
I look away to get uphold myself.
"Who is that person anyway? Is he your lover?" Kunwa'y tanong ko.
"He is my father."
Gulat na napatingin ako sa kanya.
What?? Her father? If that person is her father, why don't she just meet him? Or call him?
There's a sadness in her eyes.
"I couldn't meet him just like what other family does. I couldn't call him coz if I did, he will be in danger. But I missed him. I missed him so much." Aniyang teary eyed at bahagyang tumingin sa itaas upang pigilan ang kanyang luha.
Dugdug...dugdug...dugdug...dugdug...
I don't know what to say. I think she did just read my reactions kaya nasagot agad ang mga tanong ko sa isip.
"But you have to promise me that you won't tell anyone what I just said. Even your friends and family. That's my condition. You have to keep my secrets. Coz, nobody knows about that." Aniya.
"Does James know about him? I mean..he's your brother and I assumed that the person you are going to meet was his father too right?" I ask.
"Well actually, he's not my birthfather. Our true father was dead but that person treated us as his own kids. And I grew up with him. But, he's a popular man with dignity and I don't want to ruined his name because of me."
Naguluhan ako sa sinabi niya. Somehow I get curious for what is her true identity.
"If he raised you and treated you like his own child. Why do you have to hide just to meet him? Does he have his own family and he has to hide you? Don't tell me that he hid you while raising you?" I said in a joke.
"You're right." Mabilis niyang sagot.
"What?" Di makapaniwalang turan ko.
Bahagya siyang napangiti saka tumingin sa malayo.
"I don't know why am I so comfortable to say this kind of personal thing to you but what you said was right. He has his own family before we met him. Me, James and Jack has a terrible experienced way back home. The truth is. We runaway. We hide from the people who wants to hurt us. And that's when dad found us. He gave us shelter, clothes and foods. He raised us and healed us even he lost his own family because of us. He never mistreats us. He protected us. But we can't see him in a public place. That's why I need your help to meet him just this once."
Hindi ko rin alam kung bakit ba ako nakikinig sa mga sinasabi nya. It's her personal life and I'm not a kind of person who interferes someone else's life but looking at her eyes right now. All I can do is listen to her.
Much as I wanted to hold her face and let her head rest on my shoulder and tap her and tell her that all the sadness she's feeling right now will be gone in no time.
But that's the least thing I can do.
Napakurap ako at napabuntong hininga.
"I'll try to talk Zero about that. But I can't promise you that it will be granted besides, it's not his birthday party."
Muntik pa akong mahulog sa duyan nang bigla siyang sumigaw.
"Whooaaa!! Really?? Yayy!" Tuwang tuwang hiyaw niya at nagulat pa ako nang bigla siyang tumambling ng tatlong beses sa harap ko at naglulundag sa tuwa. Lahat tuloy ng batang naroon ay napatingin sa kanya.
Parang gusto kong lumubog sa kahihiyan nang pagtinginan ako ng mga tao.
Much as I wanted to tell them that I don't know her. Ngunit nawala ang lahat ng kahihiyan ko nang makita ang tuwa at saya sa mukha niya habang lumulundag na sinabayan narin ng mga batang naroon.
Tsh! What a childish...but she's cute.
End of Flashback...
I don't know how to convince Zee but I just hope that he will buy that suggestion.
"Maiba ako bro, saan ka pala galing kanina?" Tanong ni Cody.
"Just somewhere. It's nothing. Just some stuff that I need to attend to." Sagot ko. I can't tell them that I met Shane and now I'm doing her consequences.
"Ano namang 'some stuff' yun?" Pangungulit ni Dy.
"Nothing that concerns you Gregory." Bahagyang natatawang sagot ko.
Ang kulit lang talaga ng isang 'to.
Mabuti nalang at na kay Jack ang isip ni Zee ngayon. Pero sana lang ay sundin nya ang suggestion ko. Dahil yun lang tanging paraan para mapagbigyan ko ang hiling ni Shane.
But why am I concern with her that much?
This is not me.
"Yung totoo dude, san ka ba talaga nagpunta at mukhang nandun parin ang isip mo ngayon ha?" Ani Dy.
Haayss, he really never stops.
"Tsh, ang mabuti pa pumasok na tayo. May game pa tayo mamaya." Pang iiba ko ng usapan.
Hapon pa ang laro namin today and we're going to compete with the West Academy.
"Oo nga pala ano? Kailangan nating magpraktis, mukhang nakakatakot pa namang kalaban ang West Academy." Ani Cody na tumayo na.
He's right. I have a bad feeling for this game too.
I just hope they will play fairly in the game.
