Bab 11: The Dream
I woke up to terrifying screams outside my window, I shot up and sprinted to my window to see the villagers getting ruthlessly slaughtered and all the knights cowering in a alleyway. Is this anyway to protect the people? Cowering?
I ran down the stairs to breakfast to tell father what was happening outside but what I was greeted with was not smiles from the servants and family, nor was there a beautiful breakfast, but there was my family... slaughtered like swines!
I ran to my fathers side, crying, hoping he wasn't dead, hoping that none of them were dead but after going around and checking my familys pulses it confirmed... they were all dead!
Their open eyes were lifeless... their mouths open in contorted screaming position... my brother Theodore was the one that got overkilled... not only was his throat slit... his tongue was taken out and his vocal cords were pulled out of his throat.
I started to backup into the wall so that I wouldn't have to look at them all in such a grotesque way.
When I was backing up I could see Clarita's body right by the staircase, I tripped over my own feet trying to not see what state my loved ones were in. A large slender hand grabbed me by the back of my neck and pulled me up, a unfamiliar man's voice whispered in my ear
"They were all going to take you from me Rosemary... I couldn't let them.", the man turned me around to face him but I was closing my eyes, I didn't want to see this mans face. I wanted to die, I didn't want to live in the arms of a man that slaughtered my brothers and father.
"Wake up Princess... Wake up!" The man's voice was changing into Clarita's voice. That's when I realized that it was Clarita's voice, I woke up in a cold sweat... It was just a dream...
