Bab 290: What Happened?

Cody got in contact with Karli the day after Claire gave her his number. They were set to go to dinner and a movie on Friday after he was done with his classes for the day. He largely put it out of mind once it was scheduled because he was more concerned with classes starting up again.

He and Carmen took another couple of general ed classes together so they would automatically have someone to study with again and the rest were prerequisites or introductory classes for his major. He was taking six classes this time for a collective total of 16 credits.

Though it was only the first week there was still homework to be done so on Friday he found himself in the library with Carmen like usual before his last class of the day. Everything was going fine until he looked up and noticed she was grimacing and had a sheen of sweat on her forehead. That wasn't normal. It took a lot to make a Number sweat.

Cody frowned. "Are you alright?"
