Bab 42: badass adults?
They all just nodded to her. And with that, she pushed the door open. The door like everywhere else opened without a trace of noise. Looking inside they all found the room to be empty entirely that was aside from one chair.
Nora did not say anything to anyone as she looked at the chair. Her father just sat there, looking back at her as well as everyone else.
Then her father slowly stood up, his eyes having a dangerous glint in them as he watched them all. "Well, young children welcome to my home! It is such a pleasure to have you all here, though I do wonder why you have done so much damage. It is not right for that… I will have to teach you all a lesson that you shall never forget."
Then as his voice ended an almost maniacal smile appeared on his face, it was like there was something wrong with his head.
Aidan, seeing this as well as everyone else, quickly moved in front of everyone.
"Adar, I am sorry but for everything you have done to Nora as well as to everyone else, this is the end!"
With his loud yell as well as his words, he pulled out a wicked-looking gun. It looked a little like a rifle, yet its two barrels were only the size of a pistol. Aidan though did not waste any time at all and quickly took action.
Bang! Bang!
A small puff of smoke accompanied the loud thunder-like noise emitting from the gun. For a moment no one could believe what Aidan had even done! This was meant to be a group fight, not them just showing up and shooting the man dead.
As the little smoke the fun had made cleared though, Aidan as well as everyone else stood there stunned.
Adar was still there, smiling as if nothing had just happened at all.
Behind him, Aidan heard someone mummer, "Did you miss?"
Aidan with all of his heart wished that he could say that yes he did miss, but that would only be a lie. He knew he did not miss, it was just that his bullets and gun did not have any effect on Adar at all. The man was seemingly impervious to his bullets.
Adar just laughed at the group as he saw their look of complete and utter despair. Then he slowly began to walk forwards towards them all. "I do not know what little tricks you children have, but with whatever you do have it is time you use them."
Zia attacked first, her ice spears practically barraging Adar. The man though was not even affected at all in any way. They could all hear his laughter echoing around the room and even his footsteps could still be heard echoing off of the stone floor.
Next up was Noah, he soon joined Zia in her attacks throwing earth spikes mixed in with the ice barrage. The dirt brown color as well as the near-white ice looked beautiful and yet was still just as deadly. Though even with the two of them attacking together his laughter and footsteps still were echoing around the room as he got closer and closer.
Then Amber and Aidan both moved off, on the flanks. They aim to catch him off guard and hopefully beat him up in a close-quarters brawl.
The two hit him almost at the same time, the barrage from Zia and Noah stopping as the two also got closer.
Amber's fist, came insanely close to Adar's face at that moment. But all that was heard was a cold snort and suddenly Amber was flung away into the other wall. She only just hit it with a bang! Her body falls down to the floor.
At this moment Aidan was there too, his gun was again in his hands. Then at almost point blank range, he pulled the trigger. The shots caused thunder to once again resound around the room.
Though as Zia and Noah watched, almost as soon as he pulled the trigger, Aidan's body came flying out of the smoke and smashed into the wall opposite Amber. They had lost already. The man was just immune to all of their attacks, faced with this complete and utter immunity to everything that they had used to attack him.
All of them just felt helpless, Nora herself just watched as her friends had been defeated one by one. She had not even had a chance to join in. It was hopeless… She was stuck here… Forever.
Then as they looked at Adar, the soft sound of feet on the floor echoed around the room. Turning around Nora saw hope at last.
Walking into the room, Charles and Will just silently looked at Adar.
Then without warning a true battle broke out. Adar suddenly sent two pillars of the earth at the two. They just broke those apart as if they were nothing but pillars of sand. Then the two walking slowly, approached Adar closer and closer.
Charles went to check on Amber as well as Aidan. As he got closer he frowned heavily. The two looked like they had multiple bones broken and even as he glanced at Zia and Noah he could see blood running down their faces. The two were hurt and they did not even know it yet.
SIghig to himself he could not help but feel down at how bad he was at being their chairman. Then he looked back at Adar, the man who was the root cause of all of this. He was barely managing to hold on now, Will was just going crazy. Launching large-scale attack after attack.
Then without warning Charles joined in with the fight as well, his attacks ruthless. Adar did not even notice it coming!
The sudden burst of lightning smashed into his back, stunning him.
Will, as befitting of his name, did even miss the change that he had been given. Adar, due to this, was smashed by a much larger pillar of stone. He was not chucked away though, as Charles was there catching him with ease.
Zia and Noah then both seeing him win, collapsed to the floor.
Nora just stood there stunned. Nothing they all did had any effect and yet Will and Charles had beaten him in no time at all.
Seeing Zia and Noah collapse she was stunned and then following them, she fell down to the floor unconscious too. None of them had realized but just the aftershocks of the battle had hurt their insides… All of them had blood running out of their nose.
Seeing this, Will just looked at Charles. "I will take care of them, take him away… Far away."
Charles just nodded and left.
