The youth tilted his head in a seemingly innocent gesture that did not suit his eyes which had seen the vicissitudes of life. "I don't know. Maybe I am, or maybe it's just another word for this prison. After all, aren't we all evil locked inside a box?"
In Greek mythology, the box in Pandora's possession contained all of the evil and misery in the world. Then she opened it and set them free, casting great disaster and misfortune upon humankind.
The youth's words had given Lu Yizhou some insights. To begin with, 'Pandora' was only a nickname that Percy had heard from his mother. Until now, it was still unclear where the woman had heard it from. Then, because of the unreliable narrator in the original plot, Lu Yizhou subconsciously assumed that 'Pandora' referred to his lover.
I hope you won't be too confused by this arc QAQ it's indeed a little supernatural and we're already close to the truth! A few things that have been confirmed:
1. This arc is based on Greek mythology of Pandora's box
2. The youth — we will call him Pandora from now on — has died (time unknown) and he's a supernatural entity
3. Consider the prison and his cell in Z-level as a box within a box. Pandora is trapped at the deepest part of the box and Lu Yizhou has successfully brought him out to the outer box!
