Order Manipulation was applicable to energy and magic, especially projectiles that were fired in a certain direction.

However, Order Manipulation had some technical difficulty. Users had to predict the enemy's spell beforehand. 

Order Manipulation might only be a Basic Spell, but many spells had extremely quick projectiles, such as the common Fire Burst. An adept Mage could fire one off at a hundred meters per second, and Order Manipulation had to manipulate its path during its flight. If the Chaos Mage was not able to react in time, the spell would hit the Chaos Mage in the face before they could cast Order Manipulation!
