Bab 165: Truth

As soon as Jacob dialed Zephyr's number, the man, who already knew what was going on and felt contemplated as to whether he should be happy that the person she was missing was him, or sad that she wasn't able to form a connection with him while he was the prince, looked at the caller id with mixed emotions.

"Hello?" He finally picked up the call after some time, standing in the fire exit.

Jacob and Roy left the room diligently, letting the girl talk her heart out and giving her some privacy.

"Maximus?" Delilah asked, and the man scoffed.

"If not him, then who? Why are you talking instead of Jacob? Is everything alright?" Zephyr asked.

He contemplated acting rudely with her and being harsh so she would start to hate his Maximus side, and when that happens, he would handle her.

However, the thought of breaking her heart, made him feel even sadder, and he chose against it in the end.
