Kikanojou Tendou turned his attention to Paradise, using one of the District's cameras to survey the scene. His eyes widened in shock at what he witnessed: hundreds of Stage 3 Gastreas being massacred by the Cursed Children as if they were nothing. Tendou, who had always regarded the Cursed Children as nothing more than pests, was frozen in place, unable to comprehend the power these children wielded.
"Impossible," he muttered, his voice barely audible. "There is no way those accursed kids are this powerful."
He had crafted what he believed was the perfect opportunity to erase them all, yet it was not working. His plan, which he thought was foolproof, was unraveling before his eyes. As Tendou stared at the screen, his gaze was drawn back to Accelerator. Tendou's blood ran cold when he saw Accelerator staring directly into the camera, a crazed smile plastered on his face.
"Have you witnessed it already, geezer?" Accelerator's voice crackled through the speakers, dripping with dark amusement. "Kek... The futility of your actions?"
Accelerator's laughter filled the room, a sound so unhinged that it made Tendou's skin crawl. It was the laughter of a man who thrived in chaos, who relished the opportunity to let loose. For a moment, Tendou felt a pang of fear, wondering what kind of monster he had provoked.
Back in Paradise, the children continued their relentless assault on the Gastreas. Sana's commands were executed with military precision, the children displaying a level of coordination and discipline that seemed impossible for their age. Each elemental attack was followed by another, creating a devastating chain reaction that decimated the Gastrea horde. The ground was littered with the remains of the monsters, the air thick with the acrid smell of burning flesh.
Sumire and Miori watched in awe as the children fought, their admiration for Sana growing with each passing second.
"She's incredible," Miori whispered, her eyes never leaving the battlefield. "To think that she could command them so effectively..."
Sumire nodded, her expression a mix of pride and concern. "Sana has always had a natural talent for leadership. But this...this is something else entirely."
Sana's eyes darted across the battlefield, assessing the situation with a calm, calculating gaze. "Range users, prepare for the next wave. Fighters, hold your ground."
The children responded instantly, their movements fluid and precise. Fire, wind, and lightning continued to rain down upon the Gastreas, the relentless barrage wearing them down. Despite their best efforts, however, hundreds of Stage 3 Gastreas managed to push through the elemental onslaught, their tough exteriors protecting them from the worst of the attacks.
"All range users, retreat!" Sana ordered. "Fighters, to the front!"
The fighters moved into position, their fists and weapons at the ready. The air crackled with anticipation as they prepared to engage the surviving Gastreas in close combat. Sana's voice rang out clear and confident, a beacon of hope amidst the chaos.
Back in the Tokyo District, Tendou ground his teeth in anger. His gaze dropped to the box on his table, a device he had hoped never to use. It was a weapon of last resort, one that could bring about the end of the Tokyo District itself. But desperate times called for desperate measures.
"Is it time to use this?" Tendou whispered to himself, his fingers hovering over the box. "It might destroy everything, but I can always migrate to another District."
He grinned, a decision forming in his mind. If he couldn't eradicate the Cursed Children through conventional means, then he would use this weapon to obliterate everything. It was a gamble, but one he was willing to take.
In Paradise, the children were catching their breath after their victory over the Stage 3 Gastreas. The air was filled with the sounds of laughter and celebration, the children basking in the glow of their triumph. Sumire moved through the crowd, offering words of praise and encouragement to each child she passed.
"You all did amazing," Sumire said, her voice filled with pride. "We couldn't have asked for a better team."
Sana, her eyes shining with determination, looked over the assembled children. "We're not done yet. Keep your guard up. We need to be ready for anything."
As if on cue, a low rumble echoed through the ground. The children looked around in confusion as the tremor grew stronger, the earth shaking beneath their feet. Sumire's eyes widened in alarm as she realized what was happening.
"A large earthquake," she muttered, her heart racing. "This can't be good."
The ground beneath them heaved, sending cracks spider-webbing across the surface. Buildings trembled, and a sense of foreboding settled over Paradise. It was clear that the catastrophe was far from over. Tendou's desperate gamble had set something in motion, something that threatened to engulf them all.
Back at the Tokyo District, Accelerator remained focused, his gaze never leaving the crazed man on the screen. He knew he had to act quickly, but the safety of the children was his top priority. He could take care of Tendou and his men, but the immediate threat to the children demanded his attention.
"Tendou," Accelerator growled, his voice filled with resolve. "You have no idea what you've unleashed. But you'll find out soon enough."
In Paradise, the children braced themselves as the earthquake subsided. They knew that this was only a prelude to something much worse. Sana stood tall, her voice ringing out with unwavering confidence.
"We will protect our home," she declared. "No matter what comes our way, we will stand together."
The children cheered, their spirits unbroken. They had faced the darkness before and emerged victorious. They would do it again, with Accelerator leading the charge.
As the dust settled and the tremors faded, Accelerator prepared for the next phase of the battle. Tendou had made his move, but it was far from checkmate. The game was still in play, and Accelerator was ready to make his next move.
Accelerator had enough. He clicked his tongue and finally made up his mind. There was nothing he wanted within this District anymore, and it was no longer needed. The people were way beyond salvation, and he had no interest in saving them in the first place.
As the crazed men continued to taunt him, Accelerator's laughter echoed through the air, taking them aback. They had never expected the lunatic to laugh in such a dangerous situation.
"Has he gone crazy?" one of the men shouted, his voice tinged with both fear and confusion.
Accelerator only answered with a crazy smile of his own. The leader of the crazed people felt a bad premonition, but it was too late. His whole body suddenly felt exhausted, and he dropped to the ground with no sign of resistance. It wasn't just him, the others experienced the same sensation, their limbs growing heavy and unresponsive.
"What...what is happening?" the leader gasped, his voice barely above a whisper as he struggled to stay conscious.
Accelerator slowly walked towards them, still wearing his twisted smile. "How does it feel to be deprived of all your energy?" he asked sarcastically, his voice dripping with mockery.
The man's eyes widened at the words, and he rejected the notion in his mind. There was no way this was humanly possible. Perhaps it was feasible for those unknown Cursed Children, but an adult having such power? Simply impossible.
As if reading his thoughts, Accelerator leaned in close to the man's face, so close that the man could feel his breath. "Dumbass," Accelerator whispered, the word laced with contempt.
The man's face flushed with rage, but he had no ability to resist the phenomenon. He could only glare at Accelerator, helpless and humiliated. Accelerator reached out and grabbed the man's hair, slowly ripping it out of his head. The man's scalp tore with it, blood oozing from the fresh wound.
A scream of agony tore from the man's throat, surprising Accelerator. He should not have possessed any energy left to scream. Accelerator realized it must be due to the adrenaline coursing through the man's veins, giving him a final burst of strength.
The reason Accelerator could now take the energy of others was the result of his ascension to Transcendent. It was one of the abilities he had gained, and he deemed it quite useful. Not only could he drain energy from living beings, but he could also take energy from machines.
After removing the man's scalp, Accelerator wrinkled his nose in disgust. "Did you even take a shower? How filthy," he commented, losing interest in the man's head. His gaze drifted downward, and a maniacal smile spread across his face.
The man paled, realizing what Accelerator intended to do. "No, please..." he whimpered, his voice shaking with terror.
Ignoring the man's pleas, Accelerator proceeded to make him an eunuch, slicing off his genitals. The man's screams of pain filled the air, echoing off the walls and sending shivers down the spines of those who heard it.
The other men, who had joined the leader in his cause, began to tremble with fear. They watched in horror as Accelerator continued to torture their leader, his screams a constant reminder of their own potential fate. They prayed for death, knowing it would be a mercy compared to the monster's cruelty.
Accelerator took his time, meticulously inflicting pain. Whenever the man fainted from the agony, Accelerator tweaked his bioelectricity to wake him up, ensuring that the torture continued without pause.
"Does it hurt?" Accelerator asked, his voice devoid of sympathy. "Good. This is only the beginning."
The man's eyes rolled back in his head, his body convulsing with each wave of pain. Blood pooled around him, a testament to the brutality of Accelerator's actions. The others could only watch, paralyzed by fear and unable to escape the nightmare unfolding before them.
As the minutes dragged on, the man's screams grew weaker, his strength waning. But Accelerator showed no signs of stopping. He relished in the torment, each cry of agony fueling his sadistic pleasure.
"You thought you could play God?" Accelerator spat, his eyes blazing with fury. "You thought you could control me? Foolish."
The other men whimpered, their resolve shattered. They had believed in their leader's vision, in his promise of a better future. But now, they saw the truth. There was no escaping the monster before them, no salvation from the nightmare they had willingly entered.
One by one, they began to break, their spirits crushed under the weight of Accelerator's cruelty. They begged for mercy, their voices trembling with desperation. But Accelerator was merciless, his heart hardened by years of suffering and betrayal.
"You brought this upon yourselves," he hissed, his eyes narrowing with disdain. "Now, you will face the consequences."
The air was thick with the scent of blood and fear, a testament to the horror that had unfolded. Accelerator stood amidst the carnage, his expression cold and unyielding. He had no sympathy for these men, no remorse for the pain he had inflicted. They were nothing to him, mere obstacles in his path.
As the last of the leader's screams faded into silence, Accelerator turned his gaze to the remaining men. "Who's next?" he asked, his voice a chilling whisper.
Their eyes widened in terror, their bodies trembling. They knew there was no escape, no hope of salvation. The monster before them was relentless, and they were at his mercy.
In the distance, the sound of approaching sirens broke the silence, a reminder that the world outside continued to turn. But here, in this moment, there was only pain and fear, a testament to the darkness that lurked within Accelerator's heart.
He looked at the broken men before him, his expression unreadable. For a moment, he seemed almost human, a flicker of emotion passing across his face. But it was gone as quickly as it had appeared, replaced by the cold, calculating gaze of a predator.
"You will learn," he said softly, his voice barely audible. "You will learn that there are some things you cannot control."
With that, he turned away, leaving the broken men to their fate. The darkness within him had been unleashed, and there was no turning back. The world would never be the same, and neither would he.
Accelerator felt the intense earthquake, the ground beneath him trembling with a force that intrigued him. But he had a different purpose this time. His target was Kikanojou Tendou, who was hiding in a faraway mountain, thinking that Accelerator would never be able to reach him. Accelerator's trust in the brats was unwavering, and he had no concern for their safety, they could handle themselves. He had a more pressing matter at hand.
With a determined look, Accelerator called for Yui, Sumire's assistant with the Blood Art of teleportation. In an instant, she appeared by his side, greeting him with a mix of respect and curiosity.
"Can you transport this amount of kids?" Accelerator asked, his voice carrying a hint of urgency.
Yui's eyes widened as she glanced at the dozens of Cursed Children around them. She shook her head bitterly, realizing the impossibility of the task. "I-I'm sorry, brother, but even for me, it's far too much."
Accelerator wasn't disappointed, he had expected as much. He patted Yui on the head with his usual gruffness. "Return," he ordered, his tone gentle despite the situation.
Yui nodded and vanished, leaving Accelerator to contemplate his next move. He thought for a second before deciding on a course of action. Gathering all the brats, he placed his hands on the ground, feeling the vibrations of the earth beneath him. With a surge of power, he ripped the entire section of land they were standing on from its foundations.
The children watched in awe as Accelerator lifted the massive chunk of earth with his bare arms, their trust in him unwavering. With a precise calculation, he hurled the landmass toward the trajectory of Paradise, ensuring their landing would be soft and safe. As the ground soared through the air, the children held onto each other, their faith in their big brother guiding them.
Once he was certain the brats were secure, Accelerator put his hands in his pockets and began his slow, deliberate walk toward Tendou's hiding place. His smile grew more lunatic with each step, a dark anticipation building within him.
Meanwhile, in his hidden mansion, Kikanojou Tendou was a picture of frantic desperation. He ordered his servants to pack his things, his nerves frayed despite his full confidence that Accelerator would never find this rural sanctuary. The man was a monster, an enigma, the one they all feared.
"Move faster!" Tendou barked, his voice tinged with panic. "We need to leave immediately!"
Despite his bravado, Tendou couldn't shake the gnawing fear in his gut. Accelerator was a force of nature, a being beyond comprehension. Tendou's thoughts were interrupted by a panicking servant who burst into the room, his face pale with terror.
"An intruder has appeared and killed every guard!" the servant reported, his voice trembling.
Tendou's eyes shrank in horror as he realized the worst had come to pass. "It can't be..." he muttered, his voice barely audible. He was about to flee when a creepy, all-too-familiar voice echoed through the mansion, sending chills down everyone's spine.
"Going somewhere, geezer?" Accelerator's voice was laced with malice, a dark promise of what was to come.
Tendou felt his blood run cold. The voice, that terrifying voice, meant only one thing: the monster had found him. His servants froze, their eyes darting around in fear. Tendou's mind raced, searching for an escape, but he knew it was futile. Accelerator was here, and there was no running from him.
The mansion's opulence seemed to mock Tendou's impending doom. The grand chandeliers, the ornate furniture, all meaningless in the face of the terror that was about to unfold. Tendou's heart pounded in his chest, each beat echoing the steps of Accelerator as he approached.
"Prepare to face the consequences," Accelerator's voice continued, dripping with a sadistic pleasure. "You thought you could hide, Tendou? You thought you could escape judgment?"
Tendou's knees buckled, and he collapsed onto the floor, his mind blank with fear. The realization that his life was about to be snuffed out by this relentless force was too much to bear. He had underestimated Accelerator, and now he would pay the ultimate price.
Accelerator's footsteps grew louder, each step resonating through the mansion like the tolling of a death knell. Tendou's servants, paralyzed by fear, could do nothing but watch as their master crumbled. The leader who had commanded such respect and fear was now a quivering wreck, reduced to nothing by the mere presence of Accelerator.
"Did you really think you could get away with it?" Accelerator's voice was closer now, a dark whisper in the corridor.
Tendou's breath came in ragged gasps, his vision swimming with terror. He had orchestrated this entire plan, believing himself untouchable. But now, faced with the embodiment of his worst fears, he could only tremble in despair.
The mansion, once a symbol of Tendou's power, now felt like a tomb. Each piece of luxurious decor seemed to mock his downfall. The servants, who once scurried to fulfill his every command, now stood as silent witnesses to his doom.
As Accelerator entered the room, his eyes gleamed with a mixture of amusement and malice. He surveyed the scene before him, taking in Tendou's pitiful state. The man who had once believed himself to be a god now lay broken at his feet.
"Looks like the end of the line," Accelerator said, his voice low and dangerous. "Your reign of terror is over, old man."
Tendou's eyes filled with tears of terror and regret. He had brought this upon himself, and now there was no escape. The monster he had so desperately tried to evade was here, and there was no mercy in those cold, calculating eyes.
The last thing Tendou heard was the sound of his own heartbeat, a frantic drumbeat of fear that drowned out everything else. As Accelerator loomed over him, the reality of his impending doom settled in. Tendou had played his last card, and now he would face the consequences of his actions.
In the silence that followed, the mansion seemed to hold its breath, waiting for the inevitable. Tendou's fate was sealed, and there was no escape from the judgment that was about to be delivered.
