Vampire Amnesia
Chapter. 10
Axell can remember everything clearly. That night, he and Gloria Donovan and Jack Donovan, who had been Axell's parents for hundreds of years, were on their way to one of the children of Daitokuji Temple.
Keijiro, a friend of the Donovan family, had invited them. There was disturbing news he received from some of his closest colleagues and Keijiro wanted to discuss it with the Donovan family.
Felix Chandler, one of the ancient vampires who wielded great influence in the world of darkness, suddenly proclaimed himself be a ruler of the world of darkness. After the person he loved met a tragic death at the hands of vampire hunters, he intends to make war with humans and make them open as food. Felix wants to make all the existing vampires as allies.
Felix deliberately went to the ancient vampires first. It attacks and annihilates any vampires who don't want to join him.
Meanwhile, Keijiro has a vision that one of the Donovan family, there is someone who can bring peace between vampires and humans. That's why he invited Donovan's family to discuss the matter.
The three of them had just entered the last steps of the mountain gate of Daitokuji Temple when Jack suddenly stopped in his tracks.
There was nothing suspicious around them. The falling snowflakes drifted slowly, covering the entire area of the temple grounds. Cover any traces that may have existed before their arrival. However, Gloria and Axell were sure, Jack must have sniffed something fishy.
"Get ready, someone is ahead us to meet Keijiro." Jack stood alert between Gloria and Axell.
"Wow, well, well, let's see who's coming all the way from the west to the east?" A loud voice answered Jack Donovan's suspicions, before Axell and Gloria responded to Jack's words.
Three dark figures floated slowly from the path leading to the Daisenin Shoin garden, which is one of the oldest buildings of the Rinzai Zen sect. Their movements look as light as a feather. Their leader, Felix, a handsome vampire who was slightly below Axell's height, stood at the front.
Jack knew that Keijiro lived in one of the children's temples, not far from Daisenin Park. Now he smelled Keijiro's scent with the arrival of the three vampires in front of him. However, Keijiro's own figure was nowhere to be seen. That is, the worst possibility is that Keijiro is no longer in this world.
"Felix, you also came all the way here, have you met Keijiro?" Without further ado, Jack asked Felix directly. Even though they didn't know each other very well, every old vampire would know of another vampire of almost the same age.
"We've known each other for a long time, Jack. I don't want to mince words and would be very happy if you would join me for the glory of our world."
"What do you mean by the success of our world? And what if I choose to remain independent?"
"You know exactly what I mean, we make humans our food source and our slaves, nothing more. If you choose to be independent then I'll take you to where Keijiro is. He also chose to remain independent and refused to join me." With a cheerful tone, like he was discussing entertainment news, Felix announced Keijiro's death.
Everything happened so fast. Time seemed to stop, as Felix moved his hand, throwing Gloria and Jack away from Axell. He didn't mean to mess around. But, a moment later, Felix was thrown far back, as Axell charged at him furiously.
Axell sends his power once again to immobilize Felix. But, Peter, one of Felix's comrades, moves faster by spreading a shield around Felix.
Calmly, Felix got up and walked over. Then he stood in front of Axell with Peter standing guard beside him. Apparently, from the beginning Felix had intended to kill Jack and Gloria, he considered Axell's presence trivial. He knew, the two old vampires in front of him were strong vampires, but they were peaceful believers and intended to make humans as their neighbors, really funny. How can the predator coexist with the prey?
"I know, you can attack and incapacitate others using your mind power. However, you also know, I can command you with my mind, and it can be done easily. Now! Kill Gloria and Jack! Smash and burn their hearts!" Felix said to Axell.
"Nooo! Nooo!" Axell screamed in despair as his eyes slowly nailed Gloria and Jack with killing power. Axell tried hard to seal the power controlled by Felix. The young man's body shook so violently that he fell to his knees. However, a rope that looks like a circle of fire, still rushes forward and immediately traps Axell and pushes him to release the power to kill Gloria and Jack.
In the midst of an increasingly heavy snowfall, Axell remembers, that day he felt the death of Gloria and Jack who were like parents to him. They died at his hands. However, instead of protecting themselves, Gloria and Jack choose to unite their powers to protect Axell until Felix can't touch him anymore.
"Young Master, none of that is your fault." Hogan's voice sounded cautious, he tried to give peace to Axell's mind. Hogan could see the look of anger and sadness on the young man's face.
Hogan had been informed of all this, by Mr David. He must convey Gloria and Jack's final choice to Axell that they are willing to give all their strength to protect Axell to keep the young man alive. But, neither of them wanted Axell to be imprisoned by guilt.
Axell got up from his seat. He realized why his parents preferred to die without a fight. Gloria and Jack want Axell to survive and find a way to coexist with humans.
Nihira, Mr. David's ancestors, was Axell's first assistant. He is Keijiro's right-hand man, who helps Axell shortly after Felix and his bodyguards leave Daitokuji Temple.
Since then Axell lives with memories bound by the power of his parents. The bond will be untied by the right person. Not just once, Axell tried to find out about his true identity. But, whenever the word vampire or any indication in that direction crossed his mind he always fell into a trance.
The right people! While thinking about those words, Axell and Hogan simultaneously looked at each other. Their minds are thinking the same thing, Bilbina! What does this girl have to do with all this? Why when Bilbina talked about vampires, she could unwittingly reveal all of Axell's memories of his past?
"Where is Bilbina planning to go today?" Suddenly there was anxiety in Axell's heart for Bilbina's safety.
"I don't know, she just said she wanted to see the campus, before the new semester she took started." Hogan was also infected with Axell's anxiety. He immediately grabbed his cellphone to ask Herry where Bilbina was.
