Bab 21: Chapter 21: Arriving
After some time, Cairo decided to use the other ability his ring has. With a wave of his sword, three tall pillars of sand rose from the ground
Cairo judged that the pillars were three meters in height which shocked him. The increase in his magical ability was already 'heavenly' for him
After making the sand pillars, Cairo waved his sword again and sharp condensed sands pierced the bodies of several dummies before they were replaced by new dummies
Cairo did that for some time before he decided to use another magical item. This time, it was a rune. Cairo poured mana on the back of his right palm and it glowed with a bloody light
Droplets of blood came out from the rune and Cairo made a blood gauntlet from it. After that, Cairo charged at the dummies and smashed their bodies with his fist before Kira went to his side
"Do you want to know how you can become stronger?" Kira tempted and as usual, Cairo's interest was piqued
"H-How?" The kid asked while gulping a mouthful of saliva
Kira can keep Cairo safe with her abilities but she still wants to help him gain the power of his own in case of emergencies. For that, she'll make sure that Cairo will learn a lot of things
"Like this" Kira answered before a ball of water appeared in her right hand and a ball of sand in the left and she starts mixing the two
If one puts sand in water, the sand will either float or settle at the bottom of the power. However, when Kira mixed them, the two actually combined into one entity. This might only be possible because of magic
"Combining two kinds of magic will often increase its power. Just like these sands of mine. Because of the water magic, the sands turned heavier and if I made enough of this, what do you think will happen to an enemy?"
Cairo's heart beats faster at that thought. Sands are already tricky to deal with if the amount is high, what more if it turned heavier because of water?
"Combining two kinds of magic is hard especially for beginners. But rest assured, after we arrive at the Larton Kingdom, I'll give you the best teachers"
The General watching on the side can only shake his head. From Cairo's earlier actions, his magical control is not that bad but comparing that to the talents in the Larton Kingdom, he's still below average
Cairo's achievements were considered monstrous if he was just in Blood Sand Town or other weak towns. However, to the Kingdom, it was nothing. For the General, it would surely take him a long time to have the ability to combine magic
Combining magic is not an easy feat to do!
Even Kira knows that what she said was hard and that is why she wants Cairo to train with it from a young age so that he will have a promising future
Cairo that was unaware of the thoughts from the two tried combing two magics. In his right hand, a ball of sands gathered, and to his left, he uses some blood that was stored inside his rune to form another ball
"Don't worry even if you fail. Most mages needed years to combine magics"
Cairo frowned at Kira's words and focuses on two different elements in his hand. He doesn't want to spend years trying to combine magic, it would mean that he's only average
Fortunately, the diamond in Cairo's soul throb again and sent another wave of memories directly to his mind

A Cairo a bit older than the previous ones he had watched can be seen standing in what it looks like a training room while closing his eyes
The past Cairo raised his hand, he controlled blood and sand at the same time before mixing the two
A brown-reddish substance formed in front of Cairo and he made a small screen from it. It looks pretty simple but the trembling of the man while his body sweats a lot was a clear indication that he was having a hard time maintaining the sand-blood screen
Woosh
Suddenly, an arrow with explosive speed cut the air and landed in the screen that the man has made
The current Cairo knew that with his current capabilities, he won't be able to dodge or block an arrow with that kind of power
However, to his shock, the screen of blood and sands actually withstand that arrow!
The past Cairo heaved a sigh of relief before the screen crumbled down and fell to the ground. He was also forced on his knees while gasping for air

Cairo returned back to reality while still thinking about that magic. "Adding blood to sands will increase the latter's durability and hardness a lot. I can use it for both offense and offense" Cairo thought to himself before Kira's voice entered his ears
"Cairo, it's fine if you can't combine magic yet. Like what I said, it takes years of training"
Cairo ignored Kira's words and focuses on the two different elements in his hand. He controlled the blood and it seeps into the sands, giving it a bloody color in the process
Simply putting blood in sands is not enough, Cairo needs to mix and combine the two magic properly to unleash stronger power
Cairo poured all of his mental strength on the single ball of blood and sands as he tried creating a new kind of magic from their combination
Kira raised her brows and waited for the results that Cairo's attempt will have. She knew that it was almost impossible to succeed on the first try but Cairo's determination affected her
To Kira's shocked, the two different magical principles started combining before it crumbled down. Cairo might have failed but there are only a few mages that can do that on their first try
Even the General was extremely shocked at that. Cairo doing that is already a sign of talent in the Kingdom and if you considered where he came from, it would even be more shocking
Because of that, the General thought that the reason for Kira giving great importance to Cairo was because of the kid's talent. He didn't know that it was because of the connection they have in their past lives
Cairo's breathing turned rugged. Combining magic will often result in stronger powers but the burden is also high. Cairo spent too short of a time with magic and if not for the memories, he won't be able to do what he did earlier
Kira went to Cairo's side and helped him regain his balance. "Rest for now" Kira said gently and this time, Cairo nodded his head
The three went to a hotel and stayed there until early morning arrived and they continued their journey

November 18 Year 30,765
After days of traveling, Kira's group finally arrived at the Larton Kingdom. Cairo was overcome by shock again as he stared at the Kingdom's capital - Larton City
Larton City is different than any other places he went to. Other towns and cities have sands as their ground but this City is different
Cairo cannot see grains of sands, only solid ground was present. There are even some trees with lush and green leaves
The other cities that Cairo stayed in already have towering buildings but this one has the highest number of tall buildings. Some almost reached the sky
In the outskirts of the city were tall walls and some parts of them contained towers that were emitting strong magical fluctuations
There are more things that Cairo saw but most of them are something he was unfamiliar with and he didn't know what they are or what their purpose is
"Are you shock? The entirety of Larton City's ground was fortified with magic. A land like that is more suitable for farming and it can even grow trees. You'll see more amazing things in the future" Kira explained to Cairo that cannot fathom what kind of mystical magic was used to make a City this advance
Soon, their group starts descending down in the Royal Palace that was even larger than the Blood Sand Town
Even the more than ten large griffins didn't have any problems landing at the same time as there was more than enough space for them
Kira helped Cairo in jumping down the griffin and the kid looked around him where many guards and servants are present
"Princess, please enter the Royal Court to notify the Nobles and Generals of your return" The General said in a respectful tone but Kira doesn't care about the arrogant Nobles at all
"Let them wait, arrange for seal master to remove the seals on my people and return them their original equipment"
The General's face darkened, Kira's actions would surely incur the wrath of the Nobles. Even if the Kingdom desperately needs the Princess, close-minded people will always be close-minded!
"Also, clear the bedroom the closest to my Royal Chambers. It would be Cairo's room from now on"
The General already had a problem with Kira having the Nobles wait for her but now, even the room assigned for the Crowned Prince will be given to a kid unrelated to any Royals. The General can already imagine the horrible results that will have
