He lowered and knelt on one knee. "Well, if this is a negotiation, there should be a bargaining chip, shouldn't there?"

"My presence is a bargaining chip," she replied smugly.

"That should be my line," he chuckled.

"That's my line!" she retorted. "What's a date without the lady?"

"What's a date without the memorable experience the lady will be in for? We're not just walking and holding hands in a random location. Your mind is going to be blown," he said with a wicked smile.

"Who said I can't blow your mind too?" she said, raising her chin.

This made Xavier frown. "You've done that for someone before?" Xavier asked in panic. As far as he could remember, Giovanni had enough influence, even on his own identity, to be subtly possessive of her, and he had castrated Marco.
