Bab 21: In the Heart of Lizard Men's Territory! [ Bonus Chapter ]

Gobusuke nodded in agreement, his calm gaze locked on the imposing figure of the Lizard Men leader. "Indeed, Gobulus."

He then turned to Gobulus face and whispered, "Here's what we're going to do. I'll create a distraction to draw the guards away from the tent, while you take on the leader one on one.

Gobulus looked hesitant. "But Captain, aren't you putting yourself in danger?"

Gobusuke put a reassuring hand on Gobulus's shoulder. "Don't worry about me, Gobulus. I can handle those little guys myself. And remember we have Gobius stationed outside the territory. He can provide backup if any more guards come our way. Just focus on your fight and treat it as a valuable training experience."

Gobulus nodded, feeling a surge of enthusiasm coursing through his veins. "Alright, Captain. Let's do this."

Gobusuke gave Gobulus a stern look, his voice taking on a more serious tone. "But take note, Gobulus, and remember our lord's words to prioritize our safety above all else. If you cannot win the fight, prioritize yourself and retreat. Our mission is important, but our lives are more important."

Gobulus nodded, acknowledging the importance of their safety in this crucial mission. "Understood, Captain. I'll keep that in mind."

Gobusuke took a deep breath and readied himself for the imminent action. "Alright then, let's start now. I'll create a distraction and draw the guards away from the tent. Once I get their attention, you attack the leader with all your might."

Gobulus nodded, his eyes gleaming with excitement and determination. "I'm ready, Captain."

Gobusuke positioned himself, crouching low to the ground as he prepared to strike. With lightning speed, he dashed towards the guard in the tent, drawing his katana in one fluid motion. The blade glistened in the dim light as it sliced through the air, striking two lizard men with deadly precision.

The sickening thud of metal meeting flesh reverberated throughout the tent as the two lizard men fell to the ground, their bodies split in two. Gobusuke wasted no time as he swiftly moved on to his next target, his movements calculated and swift.

The remaining guards were caught off guard by the sudden assault, and rushed to defend their leader. Gobusuke spun around, his katana flashing in the air as he expertly deflected their blows. His sharp and accurate senses activated, allowing him to gracefully evade and counter each attack.

The lizard men leader let out a bone-chilling roar that echoed through the surrounding area, drawing the attention of other lizard men patrolling the perimeter. Gobusuke emerged from the tent, closely followed by the remaining guards, ready to take on the approaching horde. In total, there were eight guards now, as Gobusuke had just killed two in the tent.

As the leader of the lizard men was about to follow, Gobulus suddenly appeared, leaping onto the back of the massive creature with both of his blades at the ready. With a fierce gaze, Gobulus attempted to slice through the lizard men leader's neck, but the leader quickly raised his trident, blocking the attack with a loud clang.

Gobulus took a step back, preparing himself for another charge. This time, he crouched low, his movements becoming fluid and controlled. The massive lizard man swung his trident at him with deadly precision, but Gobulus managed to dodge the attack with a nimble sidestep.

Taking advantage of the opening, Gobulus spun his body and swung his dual blades towards the knees of the lizard man. His aim was to cut through both knees in one swift movement, but the lizard man was able to evade one of the blades, only to have the other one brutally cut through his flesh.

The lizard man let out a deafening howl, clearly in excruciating pain. Its eyes were filled with rage as its body began to turn a bright shade of red, bulging and growing in size. Gobulus knew he couldn't afford to give it any more time, so he quickly grabbed one of his razor-sharp blades and threw it directly at the heart of the creature.

To Gobulus' surprise, the lizard man managed to catch the blade mid-air, showing incredible reflexes. Gobulus realized he had underestimated the strength and agility of the creature. Suddenly, the lizard man began to search for Gobulus, looking for any sign of movement or sound. But Gobulus had already anticipated this move and had quietly moved to the back of the lizard man, carefully holding his blade with both hands.

With a mighty roar, Gobulus lunged forward towards the towering lizard man. His blade glimmered menacingly in the dim light of the tent, as he closed in on the beast with unwavering resolution.

As Gobulus closed the gap between them, the lizard man turned its massive frame to face him, its eyes blazing with fury. Time seemed to slow down as Gobulus swung his blade with all his might.

The blade slashed through the air with a sharp hiss, aiming unerringly for the exposed neck of the creature. And then, with a deafening impact, the blades met their mark, cleaving through the scaly skin and sinewy flesh with brutal efficiency.

For a moment, the room was filled with an eerie silence, broken only by the sound of blood gushing forth from the severed neck of the lizard man. And then, with a sickening sound, the head of the beast hit the ground, its lifeless eyes staring blankly into the distance.

Gobulus stood there, his chest heaving with exertion, his blades dripping with green blood. He quickly retrieved his other blade from where it lay on the ground, not wanting to leave any of his weapons behind. As he bent down to pick it up, he scanned the room for any sign of movement, always ready for the next threat.

Once he had retrieved his blade, Gobulus cleaned both of his weapons with a swift, practiced motion. He swung them through the air, sending the remaining green blood splattering onto the ground. The sight of the glistening blades, now free of blood, brought a small sense of satisfaction to Gobulus.

Gobulus was engaged in a fierce battle with the giant lizard man, Gobusuke was fighting off a horde of more than 30 lizard men. His movements were quick and accurate, making it almost impossible for the lizard men to land a hit on him. With each rapid movement, a lizard man would fall to the ground, their bodies lifeless.

Gobius, on the other hand, was providing backup to Gobusuke from a distance, using his expert sniping skills to take down as many lizard men as he could. Despite the overwhelming odds, Gobusuke stood his ground and fought with all of his might.

After his battle with the leader of the lizard men, Gobulus emerged from the tent and was immediately met with a grisly sight. The ground was littered with the bodies of the slain lizard men, their green blood staining the dirt. Looking ahead, he saw his captain locked in combat with a large group of lizard men a few meters away.

Without hesitation, Gobulus charged towards Gobusuke, drawing the attention of the lizard men towards him. He let out a ferocious battle cry, catching the attention of the reptilian horde. With his enemy now focused on him, he shouted to the lizard men, "Your leader is dead!"

With the head of the giant lizard man already in his hand, he flung it towards the lizard men, sending them into a frenzy.

The crazed and disoriented lizard men charged towards Gobulus and Gobusuke without any semblance of strategy or coordination. The two warriors quickly assessed the situation and adapted their fighting styles to counter the reckless charges of their enemies.

With their expert swordsmanship, they easily dispatched the lizard men one by one, their blades cutting through the scaly bodies of the creatures with precision and efficiency.

The battle was intense, with the sound of clanging steel and roars of triumph echoing throughout the area. However, the lizard men's mindless rush proved to be their downfall, as Gobulus and Gobusuke expertly exploited their enemies' lack of discipline and focus.

After a few moments of intense fighting, the last of the lizard men fell to the ground, their green blood staining the earth. Gobulus and Gobusuke stood victorious, their weapons still in hand and their faces smeared with blood and sweat.

Breathing heavily, Gobulus turned to his captain and exclaimed, "Captain, we did it!" His heart raced with a mix of excitement and relief.

Gobusuke turned to Gobulus and smiled warmly. "Good job! You've done well on your task," he said, while also giving a thumbs up in the direction of Gobius and their other team member, Gobbie, who were outside the territory.

Meanwhile, outside the territory, Gobius and Gobbie rested on a tree, their weapons at the ready in case they were needed. Gobius breathed a sigh of relief, finally able to relax after the intense battle.

"You did well, sir," Gobbie said, giving a nod of respect to his senior.
