Bab 3: 2. Chapter 2
Olivia hated moving but she had no better options. Olivia knew she was going to miss her new school, she certainly loved her previous school, it was quiet, remote from other schools and most importantly introverts like her fit in perfectly.
She grabbed her bag and ran out of the house before her mother could offer her a lift. She sighed as soon as she was far from her house, she knew it was tough for mom to manage a stubborn and a little bit hot headed like her but honestly she knew things weren't so bad.
She was at least an hour early for school and because she skipped breakfast she got hungry fast. The school was just a metre away and she had enough time to grab a snack she decided to look for something to munch on. She walked into a restaurant and decided it would be nice to have some fries. The guy behind the counter looked at her and asked her what she would love to eat.
"Yes, I'll have a soda and some fries to go please" she asked in the nicest way possible.
"Okay that will be....
Olivia knew how much it cost so before he could finish his sentence she payed him and dropped a tip. As soon as she received her order she dashed out of the restaurant.
She quickly ran all the way to her new school and observed some of the students who walked past her.
"New school, new life" she reminded herself.
As she walked she observed her the environment and almost immediately compared it to that of her old school.
They both had similar things like a big track field, some neat decorations but unlike her old school this school had a large population of students.
She sat on the bleachers and quietly munched on her fries, she slurped her soda and quickly threw the leftovers away before anyone could see what had happened.
"Hey stop there" a voice yelled.
"Me?" she asked herself.
"Yes you, are you too ugly to understand me, is your mom too broke to afford a brain for you or did you just forget that at home" the voice yelled.
"At home?" Olivia asked herself as she turned slowly and as she turned she saw a guy totally taller than she had expected, he was slouching and yelling at a shorter kid.
"Thank goodness" Olivia said as she sighed deeply.
The tall guy punched the shorter one and rained heavy insults on him. Olivia just stood there frozen she had read a lot about bullying but she had never seen it happen before.
Too dumbfounded she just stood still and watched the crazy encounter unfold.
Before the guy could do anything the taller dude called for backup and some teens popped in raining blows on the boy.
The boy looked like he was going to pass out anytime soon and Olivia just stood there watching and suddenly it dawned on her. She walked forward and did what any teen would do.
She opened her baf, pulled out a little purse opened the purse and brought out a bottle of hairspray. Before the bullies could make sense of what was about to happen she sprayed it on their eyes sending them to the nurse's office in a state of frenzy. They looked angry but the pain from the hairspray gave them little to no time to approach her.
The tall guy she met before turned back and yelled: This is war and you started it.
"And I'm gonna end it" she yelled back.
When the guys were far enough she turned back to the boy who seemed awfully quiet.
She pulled out some bandages from her bag and gave it to the boy who looked surprised seeing a girl who had bandages ready in case of trouble.
"My mom makes me carry them she says that I'm a trouble magnet" she explained.
"Why are you helping me? Do you Know who you just messed with? Are you new here?"
"I'm trying to be friendly, and yes I'm new here and no I don't know who that dude was but if he isn't the president's son I don't give the slightest hoot about him" Olivia replied trying to hide the fact that she was afraid.
"Hmm," the boy said.
"He isn't the president's son right?" Olivia asked a bit worried. The boy just laughed and his bruised face lightened up a bit. He was adorable even with the half damaged face.
" Robert" the boy said.
" Olivia " she replied.
"I'll show you around" the boy offered as he wrapped nearly his entire face. He looked more like a mummy only less terrifying.
" School is gonna be just fine with you around " Robert said as he quickly picked up his bag.
