Bab 61: Sleeping beauty

Alex's face softened, and he closed the distance between them, pulling Dunice into a fierce kiss. At first, she resisted, her lips pressed tight, but Alex's persistence slowly wore her down. He broke the kiss, his eyes locked on hers, and leaned in close.

"I know you don't mean it, Dunice," he whispered, his voice husky and gentle. "You're hurt, and I get it. But I'm not giving up on us. On you."

"You're hiding something too, Dunice," Alex said, his voice low and husky, as he kissed her again, deeper this time. "We're both guilty of secrets and lies."

Dunice's eyes flashed with a mix of anger and desire, but she didn't deny it. "We'll talk about it later," she said, her voice barely above a whisper, as she opened the door to the nearby bedroom and pushed Alex onto the bed.

She climbed on top of him, her body pinning him down, her eyes blazing with a fierce intensity.
