Bab 115: Setting Up The Stage

Drake drew in a deep breath, preparing himself for their reaction. With a determined gaze, he declared, "I'm a trillionaire."

Eleanor and Lucille exchanged incredulous glances, their eyes reflecting a mix of shock and disbelief.

"A trillionaire? But how?" Eleanor's voice quivered with a cocktail of emotions. "It doesn't add up, Drake. Where did all this sudden wealth come from?" Her eyes held a glint of suspicion.

"What's happening?" Lucille chimed in, her gaze fixed on him in disbelief.

The weight of their questions pressed on Drake. He knew his explanation needed to be convincing, but all he managed was to recycle the same excuse he had already used. "Well, you see, it's from being lucky with my investments."
