Annalys saw Charlton standing behind the ladies and her heart leaped. However, she didn't let her eyes linger as she needed to focus her attention on Serena first. Though she hated her and just wished that the pony stepped on her face to destroy it, she knew that she should not shed her mask of being the ever-loyal and innocent lady-in-waiting just yet. 

Since Serena was already looking at her, their eyes met instantaneously. Despite her reluctance, she wouldn't risk the years she invested to earn Serena's trust just like that. Thus, like the great actress that she has been, her eyes flooded with tears. Then, she bowed her head as if in shame. "Your highness, thank all the gods that you're alright…. but even so, I still feel so ashamed of myself. Although I did not mean for that to happen… if something has happened to you… I would not know even how to beg for your forgiveness much less how to forgive myself…"
