Bab 77: CHAPTER 77

“But I just need you to remember this one thing, Zary,” his tone suddenly becoming firm and serious as he pressed his forehead against hers. “Whatever happens there in the Underworld… just endure it as best as you can and trust no one, but me. Me and only me. Understood?” he even went to the extent of grabbing her arms and shaking her a little.

Zary made sure to let those words sink into her as she stared at him and nodded solemnly. “Whatever happens, I will endure and trust no one but you, Sam.” She said as if making an oath, causing Sam to flash her a small and reassuring smile.

Then he pulled on her and in the next moment, they were standing on top of the railings of the veranda again. Zary did not dare look down, and kept her gaze fastened securely on Sam. She knew that she would only trust in him. That he would keep her safe, no matter what.

“Ready?” he asked after a deep breath.
