Bab 84: Buying Land

"My Lord, is there any land for sale near the Jian Family Village?" Jian Qingqing's smiling voice rang out.

The registrar glanced at her and lowered his head to flip through a big book. After a long while, he said, "There are 100 acres of good land and 200 acres of dry land. How much do you want?"

Jian Qingqing was slightly surprised. How could there be so much land for sale after the summer harvest? Usually, these large plots of land were held in the hands of the big landlord.

The registrar seemed to see through her thoughts and said, "This was left behind by the Huang family after they were exiled."

Jian Qingqing understood. No wonder, but it was exactly what she wanted. She smiled and said, "I want 20 acres of dry land and 10 mu of paddy fields."

The registrar nodded and took over her household registration for her to handle.
